This is LSU baseball...we shouldn’t have “down years”, with the facilities we have and the National attention we get with attendance, no excuse. We should be picking who we want from California to Florida.

Hahah that's almost verbatim what I told my daughter when she questioned why LSU baseball fans get so mad when we finish in the top 8 almost every 1.2 years. I said they're retards and quoted you.
Stop and think about that before getting caught up in what you feel the fans deserve.

How anyone can argue that we don’t need a hitting coach is beyond me. I’ve seen better plate awareness and swings in Dixie Youth

Calling this season “down” from a championship appearance is dumb as hell. Yes. We aren’t near as good as last year but we are doing what we can. It makes me wonder how much of you frick boy fans even understand about baseball.

Perfect example: 'Twon saw a total of 8 pitches last night in 4 AB's. Including a strikeout which took up 3 of those pitches.

So we should win the national title every year then is that your contention? because if you do win the NC any year you don’t is by definition down.
As for this season if we wind up as a 2 seed in the grand scheme of things that’s pretty damn good for a down year if that’s basically the floor.
It’s fine to be somewhat disappointed and to expect a better season next year (depending on how we finish). It is simply childish to say things like “no excuses” considering the players we lost last year and the injuries this year.
