I cannot envision a better candidate to unify the GOP after the Trump years.

- Steadfast in his loyalty to Trump during presidency.
- Follows the Pence Rule so will be welcome change for morality voters looking for scandal stability
- Good at playing the political game.
- Pro-Life
- Time Traveller
- Name Recognition
- Can help nation pray the gay away

What's not to like?

Although Trump casts a yuuuuuge shadow, Pence has been especially good at not getting noticed within it. That leaves questions in my mind as to actual leadership ability.

Because of that I would rather Nikki Haley.

2020

Loses to Cruz in close one.
Pences refusal to condemn trump during the impeachment hearings gives Cruz the edge as cruz's father leads the cheers when trumps moving truck pulls away.

I believe after 8 years of the presidential experience, he’ll head towards retirement. Who would want 8 more years in this political environment? Lol

Pence will not win a general election. Way too much baggage on gays and abortion. America does not want an evangelical President. Trump spoke to evangelical voters about their values, but everyone is well aware he is a cosmopolitan playboy from New York.

If Trump loses in 2020, Haley would be a great pick.

My hope is that some time between now and 2024, Pence somehow gets a personality.....the man is boring as hell

I had went to the Sanders Thread, and it was deep-sixed. On the Link I found a (purported) quote from Denzel Washington: "Donald Trump’s presidential victory saved the US from the creation of an “Orwellian police state” controlled by the Democrats who might have utilized similar dictator strategies “again and again” to “circumvent the will of the people in future elections,” as indicated by Denzel Washington."

Don't know if that is the reason the Thread got whacked, or if that quote from Washington is true. But if it is...Denzel can heal our Nation re Race Issues in ways that those of us who voted Obama the first time hoped for. Extraordinary bravery, honesty and leadership ability by Washington...when the deck is stacked against Him. Easy for Pence to ride the Cultural (Evangelical) popularity train; not so much for Denzel.

Pence/Washington 2024. Or even Washington at the top (assuming the quote is true).

Rand Paul or Nikki Haley would be my top 2 choices . In 6 years someone else could jump into that group . Ben Carson Is a great guy that could help get one of them some votes as the VP. He doesn’t have the out spoken personality that the top 2 have but he bring the religion and color to help with votes .

No. Paul is looking like a stud during trumps presidency. He is staying in the news for the right reasons. And he is one of the few honest men left in government.

VP traditionally nominated after a two term president.
