Couples together that long tend to go quickly one after the other.

I'm not a fan of the Bush family but studying her time on earth is very interesting. Very young but very strongly affected by the Great Depression, probably grew up hearing about the Great War by veterans of it; was a young adult during the WWII years, and like most people met her husband at that time who served in WWII, the most transformative event in US history. And so on...to live a life as a young child in the Great Depression, and wrapping up your life with the internet, space travel, etc. A lot happened in her 92 years.

CA, I 'think' that First Ladies' funerals are only attended by the current First Lady and any former First Ladies that care to go. Because she was also a 'Second' Lady, former 'Second' Ladies may also go. I fully expect to see Melania Trump there as well as, if she's healthy enough, Rosalyn Carter. God help us, Hillary may make an appearance also.

She and George were among those immortalized on “The Simpsons”.

I can't remember do FLOTUS' get the same funeral as a POTUS would?

She’ll be buried in College Station.
I would assume the funeral will be there as well.
It’s hard to believe we’re talking about this; such a sad day.

Out of respect, RIP Mrs. Bush. I think overall she was a decent person but she was definitely a Swamper in good standing...., you don't vote for HRC if you're wanting to drain the swamp. Didn't GHWB vote HRC too?

She was a fiercely loyal mama.
That was likely the extent of her consideration on the matter.

Wondering if Mrs. Bush passed away just before they sent out that message of her choosing remain at home.

Because that day, after they released that statement... msnbc was running shite that looked like a tribute to Mrs. Bush. It was shite that ya wouldn't expect them to run... unless she had already passed away.

Regardless, no big deal. it's the families choice on when to release that information to the world, imo. If they wanted a few days to grieve, before all the media and world swarms around them, asking them the same generic questions.
