Glad to have him and I hope he balls out and is able to get some nfl attention at nflu compared to what he got at Stanford.

Had he done his job in the beginning while recruiting, he wouldn’t have to go out and convince graduate transfers to come and play for us for a year before moving on.

That said, I am glad he is here.

Yeah and we had depthnissues on both olines in 2017 and 0 JUCO linemen in that class. We only had 2 DL who were eligible to play.

And then this year he took a bunch of 3 star DL and didn’t think about CB.

Like what? Be very specific.

That's pretty much the only promise he has made good on.

Saying Dave Aranda wasn't going anywhere.
Saying he was going to lock down the Louisiana boarders in recruiting.
Saying he would bring in the best OC in the nation and he did with Canada, it just didn't work out!

Others will be determined after this year.

Saying he would bring in the best OC in the nation and he stuck with Ensminger. Time will tell.

Saying we will be more balanced on offense. I think we saw some of that last year with the talent that he had to work with. This year will tell a lot more.

Promised he could step in and LSU wouldn't be a rebuild. Nope.

News flash here. We have been rebuilding since Miles shite the bed in 2012 NCG

I do agree that this thread has completely spun out of control as to what the real subject is about but I guess my point was made. Nothing can be positive and has to be spun into negativity with the program.

It amazes me how some here choose to be so miserable and negative.
I'd be willing to bet vast majority of them never played a down of organized football in their life.

All of a sudden they are experts on coaching hires, recruiting and offensive philosophy. The arrogance is impressive.

Ed Orgeron has nothing to do with Dave Aranda staying.

Time already told us and college football Ensminger isn’t a good OC. Certainly not the best.

We lost several recruits to Alabama and others.

Canada didn’t work out because Orgeron lied straight to everyone’s face and didn’t allow him to run his offense.

Running the ball and then throwing fades to Chark is not balancing the offense.

Anything else?

I didnt Answer your question, but we didn’t need 6 DL if it meant we couldn’t take Goodrich.

But honestly which ones do you think are going to be ask good as Lawrence or Fehoko?

Or DL this year is we’re all top 10 DTs in this classes.

Shelvin was a top 5.

Looking back at our star DLinement, most of them were high key rated recruits. The exceptions are like Bennie Logan

A

Bull fricking shite if you think Orgeron didn't have anything to do with Aranda sticking around here! Typical negative response right there at it's best! It's useless!

No... He straight up didn't let Canada run his offense and ran him off.

This year will be make or break for Coach O. If he wins 9 games this year and locks down this 2019 recruiting class that is loaded with in-state talent, then I will come on here and eat crow. However at this point in his coaching career, Coach O hasn't done anything to earn the right not to be critizied.

Great, now all we need is 3 more transfers.

Ok. So Orgeron groveled at the feet of Dave Aranda and begged him to stay. Is that the argument you’re making? Dave Aranda was leaving for Texas A&M and thank god someone in the Athletic Department finally made the right fricking choice and paid the man what he is worth.

This is a good pick up. Don't have a Michael Clayton to play both ways if we get injuries.

I think he tried. It’s why Dave entertained the offer from A&M. Someone in the athletic department told Ed Orgeron point blank to back off.

Looks good - N.O./John Curtis kid and had to sit out all but one game last year due to injury. Played/Started two years prior. Good stats.

i think DA wanted more $$$ and used aggy to make it happen. i think he's happy where he's at because:

O leaves him alone
there is a possibility he gets the hc job if O fails
gets to coach elite athletes
and of course the previously mentioned $$$

now if he gets an NFL offer all bets are off.

but i O was making Aranda's life in anyway uncomfortable he would be gone already.

we're not in a rebuild, we went 9-4 last season, not a rebuild.

Promised to bring in top recruiting classes. Well...we just had our worst since Miles' first year.

he brought in a good class that ADDRESSED NEEDS in the trenches which was always a Miles weekness. Add in the transfers and this class would be ranked much higher. Next years class, while maybe not better, will have the high ranking you are looking for,.

Promised to bring in the best OC. Don't really think Ensminger qualifies as that.

remains to be seen. Upgrade over Canada who was thought to be the best, so think about that.

Why?

Miles was fired for “winning 9 games.”

I remember the kid. We came close to offering, but he lost out in a numbers crunch. Kind of like a Gage situation, but in his case the numbers worked.
