This is a ignorant arse statement, because anyone who follows LSU knows there wasn't anything we could have done to keep Saban, he was ready to try his hand in the NFL

I voted for Trump and will do so again but he needs to learn when to stop commenting on things in the past and focus on what is front of him and what he can do and not what others have done or will do

I mean it’s possible he meant LSU shouldn’t have let Saban walk away. But more realistically Trump probably isn’t the biggest SEC football fan.

While unlikely, throwing an arse load of money at him ($4M at the time) would've made him seriously consider staying.
Supposedly the admin didnt want to compete with the NFL every year so they didnt feel like throwing the bank at him.
Kind of sounds like recent events.
