Hated when they put 79 with millenials, my ex and still friend was born that year and she is no millenial. We related well.
I was born in 1970
Subtle "I bang younger women" brag.

So you remember being 2, 3,or 4 years old?
Dial ups were pretty common when I was in Jr High, and that was the early 2000s. I had a friend where his mom was too cheap to shell out for Roadrunner Internet that they had it well into college.

people need to stop think of these in absolute numbers
87-92 is pretty much peak millennial, which I am in for the record.
if you are outside of the range, it depends on where your siblings are born.
If you are the youngest and born in 82, you will probably be more like your gen x siblings than your other millennials pears. Same goes for people born in 96.

Those born in 1981 are considered millennials? I was born in 1981 and always thought I was near the end of Gen X.
If Sony Walkmans or Diskmans were popular when you were in HS, you should be part of Generation X.

Congrats on the sects, and I don’t begrudge you that.
I’m happy if you’re happy.
There ain’t a 21 year-old woman on the planet who I would want to spend the entire next year with as significant others.
That’s just me. I get some of my kicks above the waistline.

Me either. I'm 40 and wouldn't have anything in common with the vast majority of 20 somethings. If I wasn't married I don't think I'd want to date a girl much more than 7-8 years difference in age.

I couldn't handle it. Might as well be from a different planet.

I understand.
I really think that it's possible to relate to different people regardless of age tho.

Or realize that labeling generations outside of baby boomers is stupid. Baby boomers were a distinct result of WW2 soldiers coming home and starting families. Then after they got labeled, the media started to try and label other generations with implied characteristics as a quick way of describing them, which is dumb.

Millennials: Born 1981-1996 (22-37 years old)
These years need to be split even further into two separate generations or have the early to mid 80's included in Gen X.
I was born in 1985 and I couldn't be more different than the people born after 1990.

I love when millennials try so fricking hard to label themselves not millennials.
