Or realize that labeling generations outside of baby boomers is stupid. Baby boomers were a distinct result of WW2 soldiers coming home and starting families. Then after they got labeled, the media started to try and label other generations with implied characteristics as a quick way of describing them, which is dumb.

Can’t disagree with that

I'm 33 years old. I do not subscribe to the stereotypical definition or ideals of the term "millennial".

I refuse to be lumped in with that group of people

No one born in the 60s is a baby boomer. The whole term comes from how people came home after WWII and started fricking like rabbits and having kids.

No one was having kids with that mindset by the 60s.

It's a very millennial thing to do. "I identify as Gen X".

And GenX had the distinction of the baby bust, high divorce rates, both parents working, 80s rock and 90s grunge, MTV etc.

The problem with generations is that people that fall towards the beginning or end don't tend to fit neatly into one vs the other. It's why a lot of people born in say '82 feel more connection with GenX than Millennials.

It's really irritating, I get it. The year someone was born defines who they are much less than how they were raised.

Don't trigger me or I'll start a social media campaign about how we need to start talking about how you triggered me!

I'm not labeling anyone.

Just laughing at people who fall all over themselves to deny being a millennial.

Makes no sense. 37 year old has absolutely nothing in common with a 22 year old. Came to age in two completely different realities.

It's because the term is only used as an insult. So, yeah, it's understandable why people don't want to be lumped in.

Sorry, but a 54 year old is not a baby boomer.

1963-64 has always been considered the last year for baby boomers. This isn’t new.
