Just purchased an Ecodiesel, very impressed so far with the fuel mileage. Anyone else here have one? How have they held up over 100k?

Rams get a bad rap. Had two and zero problems.

I agree. Had one and no major issues. Traded it in at 187,000 miles.

In-law has one with about 150k miles and he loves it. No problems at all and gas mileage is great.

Love mine, Ford and Chevy are a joke overpriced, my last z71 was a piece of shite, Mexican junk

I've had 3 and pretty much the same. I had one under warranty repair that might have been expensive but otherwise never had another major issue. My wife's 07 Nissan Altima cost me more in repairs than all 3 Ram's combined. Put 110k - 4 years, 85k - 8 years, 135k - 8 years.

3 transmission on my ram. Granted, I drive like as a-hole.

So what kind of mileage are you getting?
Make sure to specify mileage with and without truck nuts.
TIA

EcoDiesel = VM Motori
Fix it again, Tony
I’d probably not buy it but I’ve heard some folks who had positive things to say about them.
Gas burners are too reliable and efficient.

Guy at my work just had a major engine repair at around 65K. Work truck, too, so he had immaculate maintenance history.

I drive one now and tow a 10’ Trailer every day. It runs like a dream, love it

My ecodeisel is at 40k and I freaking love the truck.
I get 18-19 mpg driving to work with lots of traffic signs, etc. 29-30 mpg on open flat interstate.
Got 37 mpg driving in Yellowstone behind the bluehair's rv's cruising at 50 mph....
The turbo is legit.
No complaints.

Why don't you people ask these questions before you buy these things?

The motor is a ticking time bomb in the Ram, between the EPA regs and the hot tune to give it more appeal to American truck buyers it's got a lot of potential problems. Everything from the usual EGR issues and intake crudding up from excessive blow-by to cam gear failure that can lunch the whole engine. They are needy engines too when it comes to fluid service and it's garbage they spec a 10k oci with as much synthetic oil as that thing takes.

I have a 2015 Ecodiesel with 70k miles and 0 issues

Get to 130k or so. Probably get by a while longer without any serious towing on a regular basis but it's known that the emissions system on those trucks degrades the engine's service life. Hell, they made it a TSB to run full synthetic 5W-40...

Ecodiesels were slow, from what I recall reading about them. Is that your experience? I’ve never driven one.
