If Sam burns doesn’t get bit by a snake in Florida, he wins today in Houston and is in the masters field.

For that to be possible he would have had to be in the field in Houston

Lol no, you guys need to go take a look at who gets in Masters, it’s pretty simple

Was smiley not in the final group at the masters 2 years ago? Quit acting like it’s ridiculous that someone on the tiger rant (which has like 5 golf threads a year) would think he could qualify.

Wednesday is the best day to go.
I like the Par 3 Tournament, but I'd rather be out more on the real course. I like Tuesday the best. Monday can be a short day for some of the guys who played last week, and half of Wednesday is the Par 3.

But hell, any day at that place is magical.

Seriously what the frick has this guy been doing? Ever since he got paired with speith at the masters two years ago he has fallen off the face of the earth. Minus that awesome spring break of course

It's simple really. He got married last fall to a girl that went to Auburn and he hasn't played well since.

went today - a blast as usual. mortgaged my house buying merchandise in the store.

i am always impressed at how well you are treated at this event. i spent some cash at the store but I can't say it was overpriced for what it was.

pimiento cheese sandwich, egg salad sandwich and a miller light...$7.

This place is the best - wish there were some LSU guys in the tournament. I wanted to throw up hearing 'roll tide' getting yelled at justin thomas after a tee shot.

Smiley isn't a great talent. He will make the tour again I think, but he isn't going to be some world beater like the rest of his "rat pack" of Fowler, Spieth, Thomas, etc.

Now, Burns is going to be a top 20 in the world type of player. He's got an ELITE ceiling and I expect he'll be in all 4 majors every year for 20 years starting in 2019...and maybe a couple this year if he keeps playing like he has been.

Loupe recently lost his card and has battled some injuries. He's got unreal physical ability, just needs to get the mental part down I think. He's a supreme athlete relative to other golfers and that helps and hurts. Sometimes tries to do too much. I am confident he'll get his card back next year.

Benny Taylor is top 5 on the Web.com money list and will be on the tour eventually. He's got a rock solid game.

There are a few others that will be making the tour soon. LSU golf is in a wonderful place.

I thought Loupe would have had little more sucess than he's had.
Regardless it appears burns will be LSUs guy on tour.

A. He married rich.

B. He married rich.

C. He married rich.

D. He was having trouble getting top sponsors because of being openly far right wing politically (anti-gay marriage, anti-Muslim, etc.), which he has shared on social media. I'm sure a lot of privileged white golfers share those opinions, but he was a moron for putting shite on social media. Keep it to yourself and get paid.

E. Said his heart isn't in it enough to work as hard as it takes to get back to being a top player, especially with family.

He's a good buddy of mine and my co-captain on our HS golf team. I've played with some pretty elite golfers in my life, and outside of a couple holes I played with David Toms as a youth golfer during a youth camp meet-and-greet, he's the most talented I've ever had the privilege to play with.

Natural ability is just off the charts. I've seen him dick around from the tips on really hard courses and shoot 65/66 without reading putts. Obviously not pro level courses, but still. He's filthy.

He is very aggressive and swings really hard though, which in my opinion gets him into trouble and makes him lose some consistency. And he has made some mental errors. Kind of guy that can shoot 63 or 80 depending on the day. I think he'll get it together, he works his arse off and deserves it, that's for sure.

Also battled some injuries recently that have set him back a bit.
