How can you definitively say that, though? The guy took five years off of football then tried to come back. You don't think that had an effect on his game?

The counterfactual scenario, which is what Booty is talking about, is if he had continuously developed out of high school. You are certainly free to disagree, but you do not know. No one does. That's part of the point of a counterfactual scenario.

He would've had another year under Saban and Jimbo.

Hunter also benched him for Rohan.

As for that attempted dive for a TD, it came out later he was trying th be like Elway. Seriously.
