House Approves 1.3T Omnibus - It's Always Better To Spend Other People's Money

I really hate all of them at this point
quote:
White House budget director Mick Mulvaney told reporters that President Donald Trump will sign the bill, saying it funds his priorities.
quote:
The spending bill for this fiscal year has rankled conservative lawmakers who object to increased funds and having to vote without more time to review the 2,232-page text that was made public Wednesday night. Any senator could force a government shutdown by refusing to grant the unanimous consent needed for quick action, and GOP Senators John Kennedy of Louisiana and Rand Paul of Kentucky left open the possibility they may do so.
quote:
“It sucks,” Kennedy said of the spending measure, adding that he would decide soon whether to force a shutdown. “This is a great-Dane-sized whiz down the leg of every taxpayer in this country. No thought whatsoever to adding over a trillion dollars in debt.”

I wrote and called my local senators and asked them to not vote for it.
I don't trust Kennedy, maybe Cassidy, but not Kennedy.

Among the notable inclusions:
Expansion of the low income housing credit in exchange for a fix in the tax bill.

Bold Prediction: In typical Democrat fashion, they will scream with outrage about the debt and out of control spending.

Time to get back to sounding the anti establishment horns and get some real conservatives in Congress.
Paul Ryan proving everyday he’s a phony conservative leader.

At what point do we show up in Washington DC again?

I agree with you. Accept I have lost hope of anyone ever being able to change the GOPe or deep state. K-Street, Pelosi, and cryin Chuckie got what they wanted.
McTurtle and Ryan got their pork. I do not blame Trump he cannot change what they are; they all need voted out, both D's and R's.
A LOT of money was given to fighting opioid abuse. While I cheer the cause; we all know damn well someone got payed off with this and the money will never help a soul.

If he doesn't veto it he's officially part of the spending problem.

So the swamp has officially opened up and swallowed Trump now.
Obama was all talk on being different and bringing change. Turned out he was just another liberal democrat.
Trump got elected on talking tough and being the change candidate. He promised he'd be a different republican. Turns out he's just another liberal republican on fiscal issues.
I'm not even mad at him and congress, though. I'm mad at myself and ever other voter for falling for this pure shite sandwich yet again.

The uniparty (The R's and the D's) purposely did this so the monster would go through because no one wants a govt shutdown. Trump is about compromise and I imagine that hecompromised because the U.S. Military get a lot of money.

He won't veto it and a lot of people(including myself) will not vote for him for a second term because of this.

Disgusting. It's a lost cause - even with Trump.
He's giving $1.3 trillion in unnecessary military spending and entitlements so he can get fricking $2 billion in funding that he will get hammered on when he tries to use for the wall.
Isn't the sexual harassment slush fund included in this as well with no names named?
