End of a species? The last Northern White Rhino male has died; only 2 females remain

These are the last 2 females:
Poaching managed to wipe this species out in only 50 years. From a population of around 2,000 in the 1960s down to around 35 in the mid 1980s. Now only 2. Insanity.

I'm sure they jerked off Sudan a bunch of times to harvest his precious seed. Now someone needs to just stick their arm with a hand full of baby batter into his daughter or granddaughter and boom, more Northern White Rhinos. #science

I would guess habitat destruction is more to blame than poaching. Making hay fields and fencing off large tracks of lands has its drawbacks.

Yep, they've tried, but IVF has failed every time.
