I guess this means we're either planning on signing a vet F.A. WR or drafting one with a high pick.

We've done this before with guys we still brought back. The tenders (even the original round tender) all cost more than the minimum, and Coleman should be able to be resigned for the minimum. Same with Parry.
Breaux is more of a question mark, but from the sounds of it both parties are ready to move on.
Only time I really recall this biting us is when we tried it with Tom Johnson. If we just gave him the tender we would have paid about as much as Minn did.
