If we draft a QB of the future, it happens this year, not next.

No one knows what next year's draft will look like.

If you told someone that Carson Wentz would be a top draft pick and would light up the NFL in March of the previous year, people would have told you to frick yourself.

Problem is that other teams know that too and there are quite a few who need a QB now or will soon:

NOW:
Cleveland, NYJ, Arizona, Denver, Buffalo, Miami (?)

VERY soon:
NYG, NO

SOONish:
Pittsburgh, LA(C), Washington

Lot to contend with ...

Maybe. I’d probably take Shea Patterson next year(assuming he’ll be eligible this year) over anyone this year.

How do yall predict all this "QB of the future" stuff when guys paid millions can't get it right?

P.S.
QB of the future?

But what about 2 years?

People can talk about generational QBs that come out certain years, but that's really not the case. Generally there's 2-3 every year that could become franchise QBs.

He was better in the Ole Miss offense that's for sure. I watched the spring game and all I could think is who in the hell is this Ta'amu guy and why isn't he the day 1 starter?

I'm not really sold on any of the qbs from this class. The one I'm highest on is baker and he's projected to be the 3rd or 4th guy taken
