And again, the city does not own the Cajundome: It was built by the State, funded/maintained by the City, and is owned by the University. It is managed by the Cajundome Commission, of which UL has the majority members....
State and city funds built it. Signed it over to USL for use and upkeep. Since it is a public university, the state still owns it.

LSU, UNO, McNeese, USL, LaTech and UL-MONROE should be the only 4 year curriculum schools. Everyone else should be jUCOs.
All should be under LSU as a flagship. End of story.
One Law School and one Med School. You expand your larger schools in the major cities as opposed to adding more freaking connutor schools or specialty schools.

My god you are an idiot. That is simply not correct.
Can you provide a link to prove it is not owned by UL?
LINK
LINK
And even if what you say would be true, that would mean that just about EVERY building at ALL state universities would be 'owned' by the state,.....including the PMAC @A & M @Baton Rouge......and not the universities. Jeesh.
Not to mention that old blueballsbengal was originally saying it is owned by the city. The possum fan base is one helluva of a group of 'special' stupid, I tell ya.
'And the Cajun Dome is owned by the City of Lafayette not UL.'

That is true about PMAC and TS FWIW. The STATE ultimately owns them all.
And yes the State and city built it. The difference is LSU has built MANY BUILDINGS WITHOUT State funds.
Here ya go for what i said. The STATE BUILT IT:
The arena also hosts many regional concerts (seating for concerts 8,481 to 13,500) and special events, such as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) events and the annual outdoor Cajun Heartland State Fair, an eleven-day state fair that attracts over 175,000. The facility is a recognizable Lafayette landmark that was built by the State of Louisiana, funded by the City of Lafayette, and is owned by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and managed by the Cajundome Commission.[7]

Not entirely true about TS. TS as a whole is an odd mix up of ownership.
TAF owns all of the upper decks and suites and clubs and LSU owns the lower bowl and they both pay "rent" to one another: LSU rents the land to TAF and TAF rents its facilities to LSU.
But yes, originally it was built with state funds almost 100 years ago.
Sorry for the hijacking

Still no link backing up your claim that the state owns it, but thanks for providing more evidence that it is owned by UL. And not the state.

Do you often continue to read.....and comment on....things that you don't want to read, or comment on? Now that is both very odd and very stupid, IMHO.

Thanks for the support: that link/quote proves my point. That's why I had posted it before you did.
It was built with state/local funds, is maintained by the city/parish, but is owned by UL.

JESUS CHRIST!
The STATE BUILT IT....
Here ya go dumbass.
Who funds USL? Who provides budget to USL? Is it a private university? NO
IT IS A PUBLIC UNIVERSITY AND PART OF THE LOUISIANA UNIVERSITY SYSTEM IT IS FUNDED BY THE STATE OF LOUISIANA!
LSU is NOT part of the Louisiana University System.
Ultimately, the state can close it down if it chooses.
WTF dumbass.

The Cajundome
What a stupid name. I guess when you’re USL, you really don’t have anyone worth naming sports arenas after.
