OP is suspect so, I'm not commenting in support of that.

But that Snopes has credibility is one of the greatest examples of how people, from day one, believed everything on the internet was true.

A friggin liberal couple from San Fran starts a site that "fact checks" via doing basically the same thing you or I can do(using search engines) and they became the defacto "Truth tellers" on the internet.

And no one ever even asked........."hey, why exactly are THEY correct?"
