Trump won 8% of black voters that will probably change next election. HRC only received 84% of Democrat voters(86% of women). This will change in 2020 if the democrats run a better candidate.
It will be important to keep every percentage point he can. He needs Pennsylvania and Michigan or Wisconsin to win again.
Those races were close and a 2% change in votes and Trump will lose. He must keep every vote he can.

Where would you personally rank it, priority-wise?
Not high. I haven't given it much thought.

I agree. Unfortunately for the democrats, I think the law still requires them to put an actual human being on the ballot. That's where they run into problems, as I can't see anyone on their "bench" who I'm convinced at this point would do any better than her overall.

What issues are voters concerned with in the mid terms then?
1) immigration
2) 2nd amendment
3) taxes
4) jobs economy
This does not favor democrats. At all

Without looking at it I'm going with immigration.....the illegal kind which has been at the top of the list for 30 yrs.
youre 100 percent wrong, by the way.
what the USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll actually says is...
In an open-ended question, voters chose “gun control/second amendment” (12 percent) and “school safety” (6 percent) as the most important issue affecting their congressional votes. Nine percent of those responding suggested “jobs/economy,” and “national security/terrorism” was cited by 2 percent.
oh, and look, even more great news for trump...
A new USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll finds voters looking toward the midterm elections are overwhelmingly unhappy with the country's direction, dissatisfied with its political leadership, and interested in electing a Congress that will confront President Trump.
By close to 2-1, 58%-32%, those surveyed say they want to elect a Congress that mostly stands up to the president, not one that mostly cooperates with him.

All this tells me is, the story du jure is whatever the majority thinks is "most important." Who knows what will be drummed up for next fall, but I wouldn't bet on this being static, or otherwise that meaningful as to what they're saying TODAY.

The way the American people have finally awakened to the partisan coverage of the media and no longer GAF what they say fills me with joy and optimism.

Pointing out that it may be you following him is not a defense of him. There's no need to defend him. I don't believe he's following you as you suggested.

And?
Everyone should want every congress to "stand up" to the president.
