It is extremely inadvisable to lie to the FBI.

People on this board who don't do federal criminal work have no idea how easy it is to "lie" to the FBI. There's a reason their interviews aren't recorded. If you say something to the FBI in an interview, and they find someone who has a different recollection of said event or occurrence, even if your recollection wasn't dishonest, that is sufficient to sustain a charge of lying to the FBI. And that opens the door to an investigation the scope of which most of us cannot comprehend.

It's laughable that the board's liberals are creaming themselves over an arrest made by an autocratic agency whose history includes surveiling political dissidents, rounding up Japanese-Americans into internment camps and creating fake terror plots post-9/11 to entrap vulnerable people into a criminal conspiracy.

Juiceterry is absolutely obsessed with anything Russia related. It’s honestly kind of interesting to watch someone so consumed with something yet act like he doesn’t care.

He also never answers questions about why he is so obsessed with Muh Russia.

Would FBI agents still do the interview if the witness and opposing lawyers were recording the interview?

Tell me more of the egregious details. It must be some seriously bad shite to warrant being out so much.

Do you honestly believe Flynn just gave up and pleaded guilty to a charge like that because of money?

Do you honestly believe Mike Flynn wouldn't have lawyers beating down his door to represent him pro bono simply for the exposure?

Get real

They should extract his payment directly from Obama, Lynch, and Holders assets to pay this bill.

In many cases, yes. But a process crime is much easier to charge and prove in federal court. And that's how many cases are made. Interview someone, find a process crime via inconsistent statement and use the threat of prosecution or actual prosecution to get information on a bigger fish. This is a game to the Feds. Never mind them ruining people's lives, it's about winning to them.

How much does it cost to say "I'm guilty", anyway?

This a Federal Government specialty, they have all the time and unlimited resources, first they break your life, then they break your spirit. Their specialty is impoverishing people over b.s. charges....and when all is said and done, this will all be proven to be b.s. and but hurt by the losers of the 2016 election

This was a Mueller perjury trap special

Flynn has come such a long way since leading those “Lock Her Up” chants at the RNC. He’s proof that karma is real and she’s a bitch.

Moral of this story is......

NEVER, NEVER and ABSOLUTELY NEVER SPEAK TO THE FBI...

Not even with 10 recorders running

Yes. And the feds very much care about their conviction rates.

It is fairly easy to avoid a process crime though.

Absolutely. The cost of federal litigation is enormous. And you're overlooking the fact that Flynn's lawyers weren't just retained for the SC probe. Flynn's lawyers also were negotiating with at least 2 other entities: the HIC and the Senate Intelligence Committee. Additionally, Flynn was under investigation for how long before he was even charged? Given his openness to a range of charges, I'd say his legal bills were the equivalent of a nice house.

The amount of work involved in a federal criminal case of this kind is so thorough and intense that any lawyer who did this pro bono would be an idiot.

Flynn should have just repeated "I dont remember" over and over. It worked fine for the numerous democrats who get their hand caught in the cookie jar.

Flynn's not stupid and he has competent counsel (competent enough to bankrupt him in a year at least).

I wonder why they didn't think of that...
