You know, most people reading this would be like "oh bullshite dude..."
...yet there are a group of us here nodding our heads and wanting to respond with "well, if you think that's bad, let me tell you about this one time one of my soldiers/marines/etc..."

The M14 is a hell of a rifle.
Heavy as lead, but packs a heck of a punch.

I've never served but I own both an AR and an AK platform. Personally I prefer the AK in all categories except long range accuracy (greater than 250yards) and ease and speed of magazine switches.
I took my friend who did 3 tours in Iraq as an infantry Sargent shooting with my AK for the first time and he felt the same way as I do.
He complained that the 5.56 just lacked any sort of stopping power. Said that many grunts would say the reason that the m-4 had a 3 round burst was because it took 3 hits for the enemy to realize he was even shot!
But what else could you expect from a freaking .22 caliber bullet?

Right. A dude who has never seen combat, knows what he's talking about with combat.
Ballistics =/= combat. He's talking ballistics. Relax, Rambo

I thought the whole "teenage daughter of a FG or Flag Officer dancing on a stripper pole in the barracks" was just a cliche or hyperbole...
I was quickly educated within one week of taking command in Germany.

At any barrel length, 6.5 grendel has similar capacity (25 vs 30 in 5.56 or .300blk), it has more energy, it flies better, has more resistance to wind, and has similar recoil to both 5.56 and .300blk. That is better than either if we are talking defensive/human use or paper. 6.5 bullets are absolutely devastating on live targets.

So...you should be sitting at 275% of base pay for retirement with that much time...
Somewhere out there there's a CW5 who's impressed with your time in service

Had a guy in my unit pass out immediately after rubbing it out in a one man tent, woke up the next morning with his sleeping system stuck to his dick.
