re: "Arming Teachers" fallacy

Arming a classroom is easy if you set up a few common sense perameters:
1) this is a volunteer assignment.
2) the gun must be kept in a locked box which is anchored to the floor. Use a combination on the box so a kid cannot get the gun out.
3) the teacher must pass a tight background check; not one like little jerk off passed.
4) the teacher must be proficient and highly trained.
This can easily accomplished if a few common sense rules are followed. These liberal cowards who say the idea of an armed person in a classroom is a bad idea make me sick.

These debates make me think of a situation from when I was a kid. We'd get in a concrete storm cellar when we had tornado warnings. One time I noticed a hammer that my dad had put in there. I asked about it, and dad said it was in case we got trapped it there. Being the smart arse ignorant 10 year old I was, I snarked at my dad "what good will a hammer do?" Dad looked at me and said, "Would you rather bust this concrete with your head?"
The leftists are the ignorant, smart arse 10 year olds in this situation.

It seems a lot of parents, teachers and students are against this.
Sure they are. But then again, I'm pretty sure they are against people walking into their schools and murdering people.
Sometimes just being against something doesn't work out so well. Might want to get prepared.

The whole thing is retarded. Sure, maybe some teachers or staff members want to carry. Okay, that’s fine if they follow proper protocol. But why did tachers choose to become teachers? Apart from wanting to teach children and all the sentimental shite. Because it’s a safe job. They aren’t typically the type to take on gunmen, and that’s perfectly okay. They took the job because they don’t expect to get shot at. If they wanted action they woukd have been a cop or a soldier. If you want to have an effective armed security personnel in the school, hire people who do that for a living. We can’t expect Mrs. Buttersworth who teaches Home Ec to bust out an AK and take on gunmen.

That doesn't necessarily require more firearms.
Don't make the teachers do the jobs of law enforcement and law makers, make law enforcement and laws makers do their jobs.

Yeah, let's arm the teachers with feathers and they can tickle a shooter until he/she/it stops shooting.

Why this is a bad idea: the teacher from today could have felt quite comfortable and adept to conceal carry, until today. Introducing a gun into a situation NEVER makes the situation safer; it always makes it more dangerous.
Should we disarm police.
I guess the most dangerous place in the world must be Fort Knox.
I guess the president should get rid of all the guns in the White House.

Well it doesn't necessarily require dancing girls or little red wagons either. The question is, how do we best protect kids in school? How do we do it tomorrow? Laws are written on paper. We have plenty of those, and every dead kid is a testament to the fact that they don't do shite to protect against the evil, and deranged.
So what do you have that is better than allowing those who would actually protect kids to do so?

Start with better training for law enforcement and enforcing the laws on the books. Then if that doesn't work, craft new law - letting the communities decide for themselves how best to solve the problem.

We can't.

Can you train law enforcement to appear instantaneously when a situation arises also? How many minutes of free fire killing is acceptable?
Obviously, LE on many levels failed in this latest situation, but that doesn't mean the next one won't involve a loner kid who has never been in trouble, does it?

We can't.
But we can, and you know we can, you just don't want to admit it. We protect those things we value every day, with guns. We have a Constitution that explicitly states that every person has the right to protect themselves with arms. Instead of allowing them, who it appears need those rights as desperately as anyone, to exercise those rights, we've trampled them, and left them and our kids to be slaughtered like sheep.

Would you bet against a bigger male or female taking gun from teacher or the two of them wrestling for it and two kids in class get shot before anyone gets the gun from the shooter.
Guaranteed melee.
You guys need to go to south side Chicago or The hill in Pittsburgh.

My issue with Mrs Butterworth is that back in day day she was handy with a .22. This little old lady used to be feisty. She still has the weapon. Temptation. Discussed at recess.

give em grenades so they don't have to worry about accuracy
and make them in the shapes of apples so they can sit on desks without anyone even knowing
pull the stem and let 'er rip

And this is the kind if shite you get from leftists any time you bring up the subject of actually protecting our kids the same way we protect all of their leftist political heroes.
