I noticed a couple of guys in the crawfish thread said they were in California. Would anyone in California be interested in a meet-up/crawfish boil here on the west coast?
Crawfish in Long Beach go for 17/pound, and although I wasnt dumb enough to buy any, the person I was with did. They were god awful. So I figured Id rather fly some in and have a boil with some of the California OT if anyone is interested

Does CA even let you bring in live crawfish? They're pretty militant about their ag/eco stuff.

I thought the Delta east of San Fran imported live lousisiana crawfish to start growing to sell on the west coast, is that still a thing?

Definitely Chinese crawfish. The sad part about it - The restaurant was owned by a couple from Marksville. Supposedly their family sold some of the land for the Paragon. I realize they arent from South LA, but still, I expected much better. Crawfish were soggy and fishy

I'm curious as to which family that is.

San Diego has a boil for 4000 people every year and Josh booty throws another one in Orange country around the same time in may.

Yes. In Cal. each crawfish has to be humanely euthanized before lowering it into boiling water.

Please slow down with all of the questions.
