Expect to lose several in state studs next year

Maybe on 247, Rivals, and ESPN but Dandy Don's rankings will juke the stats again to get us to at least 8 out of 10.

I've had him in the Alabama class the entire time based on my conversations. But I see us going 2/3 in that Parish with the high profile kids.

Has the recruiting board become so ridiculous that we’re going to melt over a crystal ball pick? I mean Jesus Christ, this place used to be an escape from the tiger rant. Everyone relax.

Many have said it and it needs to be echoed again, if .org fails to be what was supposed the main reason for his hiring, a great recruiter, and if he also fails on the field with a worse season than his first full season, he will have likely one more year to fix it or he gone.

Sure it can be done, but we have a ton of question marks on offense regarding both players and coaches. It’s a complete guessing game right now with how we’ll look in 2018.

I am not a big fan of Coach .org but I am a fan of LSU and I believe we have the talent at QB along with top flight receiving talent to do just about anything offensively.

I truly like the prospects of Helaire out of the backfield in the passing game. Kid is going to give fits.

To me it all boils down to Brennan and Ensminger. If they put out a product that can rival the Okie St, Oklahoma, Texas Tech of the world we could catch fire.

Brennan has all the ingredients to be big time. With Narcisse competing and that competition between them bringing out their best there is a lot of be excited about. Those two are the biggest recruits at the position with such talent we have had in a long long time.

I expect more as you do and expect a great product as the talent is there. When you add in the fact we have offensive linemen that gained valuable experience last year it spells for success.

That is why I am very optimisitic. We put together a great season we will get these kids committed to the good guys.

It's disappointing you guys act like Saban hasn't been raiding Louisianan for many many years before O was a part of the program.
O didn't create this, Led did with his suck arse offense...the night this changed was when we had Bama beat in BR and Mikes couldn't get a first after 2nd and 3..to seal the game. The fricking Bama qb was crying in the sideline.

That moment right there changed the course of LSU football forever. The Alleva keep him a yr or so later, sealing the fate of mediocrity.

This has ZERO to do with O.

The "but it happened to Les too" excuses don't work because Les got fired. O is supposed to fix it.

Agree. Its still Feb a year out for many of these kids. So they got one cb for Lee. While freaking about a wr, I know an instate one but still a we, no one mentions the run if CBS from Texas based guys we are getting for Marcel Brooks. Wrs like Lee are a dime a dozen. LBs like Brooks are not.

Marshall and Chase will have a lot to do with why some highly ranked wideouts from LA end up going to other programs. The position group as a whole is stacked for the next 3 seasons without taking another player into the fold at all next cycle as it is. I've said it before and I'll say it again....The outside skill positions like wide receiver and Cornerback are constantly being filled in over and over again each year regardless of the certain players that end up actually being among that group. Missing out on Lee is not going to be at all a big deal because the fact is LSU will always be able to find someone that's 5'11 to 6'4 that runs a 4.5 forty and can either catch or cover at a high level....it's the lineman that are hard to find and keep in the program at high levels of talent each cycle.

"Those two are the biggest recruits we've had in a while"

Again....the absolute disregard of the rankings of the QB prospects that have been brought in the last ten years....

You realize that Anthony Jennings, Hayden Rettig, Brandon Harris, were all top 5 at their positions. Mettenberger was seen as the top overall Juco QB. Even Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee were top 12 prospects at QB. The fact is that none of them were developed into anything at all. But stop spewing this nonsense that LSU hasn't recruited at a very high level at the QB position for the last decade. Because they have....Stupid circumstances like Gunner Kiel turning Bitch, Zach Lee going to play baseball, Ryan Perilloux becoming a retarded goddamn child the summer before he took the starters job...all of these things have contributed to bad results from the QB position. Most significant among them is the fact all the guys who ended up playing and starting were put into the spotlight far too early and failed under the immense pressure. Now that we've actually had the ability to not only prepare one but two of these highly ranked prospects and given them an entire season to learn and improve instead of literally being counted on to beat auburn when they are barely past 17 is why whichever of them who ends up starting will be successful. My belief is they both end up as fantastic QBs and will both end up playing a lot of football. A true number one will be there....but a package for the other will be there for certain situations. Most likely is Myles is the main guy and Narcisse ends up having a specific role with the offense and ends up having a real role in the entire process as a whole.

Remind me how many true CB’s we signed this past class? And how many we lost? And one still in limbo.

That is an overreaction. Don't act like they get whoever they want in LA most years. We hardly ever miss out on our top guys. There are obvious exceptions but Bama never "pillages" Louisiana

LSU in top 25 when athletics are combined with academics..Bama not on the list

**Also, LSU has put 54 athletes into the NFL in recent years to Bama's 50..

Mr. Davonta Lee needs to quit listening to the garbage coming out of Nick Saban's mouth and start doing some actual research on the truth as he is making this important decision. Yes, I know..go to Bama and win championships, blah, blah, blah.....Being a part of creating a championship squad here in his home State is a real goal to shoot for....these kids need to quit following the crowd in Amite and be individuals.

playoff teams add 5* and high 4* recruits to areas of strength on their roster. Take notice of Clemson DL signees for the 2018 class or the UGa class? In this day and age of 3,4,5 WR sets, 2-3 WRs (5 and high 4* preferably) a year is required.
