Hope he is wrong. His accuracy is as good as it gets for 247 though.

Semantics. Wiltfong is pretty consistent and has been the most accurate picker multiple years

I don’t blame one kid for going there either.

Christian Harris named them his leader too.

This Amite pipeline is so frustrating.

2019 will be the year. LSU will be number one in recruiting.

So much time between now and signing day. Too early to panic and too early to think there are locks anywhere

Winning will fix a lot of that. We don't have anything to point to and say we earned it.

He can put the biggest fence around this state, but kids from Amite have no real interest in LSU. Not sure why anyone is surprised. That pipeline to Bama was built years ago by people in that community and had only been solidified by Sam Petitto.

Amite (La.) High Top247 two-way recruit Devonta Lee added an offer from Alabama during this past weekend's visit for Junior Day.

Ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 6 receiver and No. 47 prospect overall, the Crimson Tide envision him potentially doing a number of different things within their program.

"I've always been waiting on that offer," Lee said. "It was really a great pleasure to me, I thought it was never going to come but I just kept working and waited patiently. I mean it meant the most to me because they're recruiting me as an athlete because cause I play both sides of the ball. They don't know where they're going play me which they said I can play both sides, and I would love to play safety, wide receiver and some tight end like Evan Engram."

The staff made a big impression on the 6-foot-2, 212-pound Lee.

"I know if I play there Coach (Nick) Saban is going to make me become a better man, not just football, but as a young man. I know he's going to get the best out of me."

Lee has a friend in the locker room as well.

"I have a former (teammate) there DeVonta Smith," Lee said. "That's really a great athlete that I look up to. He's just like my brother. If I chose to go there I know I can be in the role with him playing."

Also holding offers from the likes of in-state LSU along with Florida, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee and Texas A&M, Lee sees everything he is looking for at Alabama.

"Coaches, academics, the program, the students you're surrounded by, the campus, facility and I like their weight-room program," Lee said. "I really like it. I know you're going to win championships, that you're going to have to work for what you deserve, that's what I want. They will have you prepared for the draft. Their facility is nice too."

If those quotes don’t tell you the whole story then nothing will. Expect to lose several in state studs next year if we lose to them again and finish the season poorly. We badly need something to give us some positive momentum.
