Never stayed in Navarre but thinking about it for this summer. What a nice place to stay for a 3BR? What are some good places to eat there?

We've gone the last 3 summers. Always stay at summerwind. Its nice for what it is. Its right next to the big fishing pier. We have only eaten out once during our trips - a baja Mexican restaurant. It was pretty decent but don't remember the name.

There are no good places to eat. Some food is decent but nothing good. You have drive to Pensacola for anything good.

Helenback pizza is delicious. Not sure what you’re talking about.

Actually there is a new small sushi restaurant that was pretty good. Also a good breakfast pace that makes a mean Key Lime Pie at the beginning of the beach. Been going every year for the past 13 years with family. I like it because the beaches are not crowded at all and are very nice.

Where do you stay? It looks like maybe 7-8 condos along be beach and a few more across the street.

I can't remember the name but a friend of ours owns a condo (his family does, not him) in Navarre that is 3BR. It is a corner unit that it the first big condo you come to after crossing over the bridge. It is on the side that is closest to the pier so it looks out over the water and the balcony wraps around to the side which has nothing obstructing its view because it is all protected. They do rent it out so I could try and get you the contact info. I am sure it is pricey but any 3BR condo there is going to be expensive. The best thing about the condo is every BR has its own bathroom.

There aren't a lot of places to eat, true. But Pensacola is not too far of a drive. We love the Thai restaurant. Usually go once for a sit down dinner and pick up another time for lunch. Helenback wasn't bad and there is a burger place not far that comes with endless fries and it is good, too.

Weve rented a house in Navarre for the last few years. It’s nothing like OB/GS. The crowds are minimal but there also isn’t much to do. We drive to Pensacola for minor league baseball.
The Thai place is very good and we usually hit it a couple times a trip.
Johnny Houston’s has good food but the service is horrendous. The last time we went a member of our family didn’t even get their food. The manager laughed when we talked to him about it.

Don't forget to drive to P'cola Beach along the Gulf Islands Nat'l Seashore.

Sounds like Summerwind. Most are weekly rentals during summer. Trying to find something that isn’t.

Bahama Paradise is the unit name. Also just as an FYI they built a Marriot right there as well on the beach. Brand new, nice rooms, real nice pool and on the beach. As a backup in case you have trouble finding condos available.

It’s a Springhill Suites. I stayed right after it opened using points for one night on my way through town. They want almost $400 a night for a basic room during the summer. I’d have to get two rooms for all of us too so that’s just not gonna happen.

The seashore road was closed last fall. Not sure if it's been re-opened.

Just called Gulf Islands Nat'l Seashore & asked a Park Ranger.

The Road from P'cola Beach to Navarre is OPEN.
