JJ does have the fact that he might be the carniest man left in pro wrestling going for him. Vince and Lawler only competition.

The only place I've ever seen Jarrett get real heat is Mexico. And most of that heat was really on "La Bruja Karen." And she was great.

Didn't Jarrett have a little trouble with the bottle recently?

Don West was/is a great great Carnie. He used to get in the ring before TNA house shows and sell the shite out of some merch. His performance was worth the price of a ticket if you could resist his salesmanship and sit back and appreciate it for what it was.

I believe he showed up in no shape to perform for a match and he got at least one DUI arrest that Matt Hardy’s wife exposed as part of a “frick you” for TNA claiming ownership of gimmicks the Hardys did in TNA.

The new Impact ownership group basically fired him over it. He went to rehab paid for by WWE.

I need to dig up the old SNL skits of Will Farrell as Don West on the Home Shopping Network.

The best one I remember was when they were selling off Mark Hamill, not a fake one like the Bruce Boxleitner one they had the year before.

Jarrett at his peak in WWE was a multi-time IC champ and tag champ. He never had a good program against the world champion, nor was he a major draw as IC champ like someone on par with Honky Tonk Man, Savage, or Warrior.

His best comparison on WWE-only achievements would probably be Scott Hall, except that Hall was far more over and was part of some of the most influential matches on the 90s against Shawn Michaels.

The main reasons Hall got in, IMHO, were due to the nWo angle and his personal friendship with Triple H.

While I agree Hall clearly benefited from his friendship with Triple H, he's in a different class than Jarrett.

Hall as Razor Ramon alone was more over than Jarrett. Then there is the even better nWo angle in WCW.

Hall also had the whole feud thing with IRS and 123 Kid/XPac, which while no where near as good as his feud with Michaels, were still more entertaining than any of Jarrett's stick.

If Hall would have been able to stay away from his addictions, there is no telling how good of a wrestler he could have been (His mic skills were great). Jarrett we know, and its a meh in my book.

I don't think there has ever been a rassler more undeserving of his spots and pushes than Jarret.

I agree. He was a lower midcard guy that got pushed because his dad was an all time great promoter.

Will this lead to some ECW guys getting in now? It was really the promotion that put wrestling back over (both WWE and WCW ripped it off). I would love to see guys that never made the crossover get some due, like Sabu, Taz and Shane Douglas just offthe top of my head..

The WWE has some guidelines for their inductees that would make it hard for a number of ECW guys to get in.

There is a limit of one posthumous induction per year, for one, and they want booking control over guys going into the HOF, which is why some people still active on the indies have passed for now when they were felt out about induction.

I think the best chance of a true ECW guy getting inducted is probably Dreamer or RVD, given that Dreamer worked in the WWE office for years after joining the company while RVD was a multi-time world champ between WWE and TNA.

Shane Douglas is probably a nonstarter because of his problems with the McMahons and Triple H.

Sabu would probably depend on how his run with ECW on Sci-Fi went.

Taz would probably depend on his relationship with the WWE office after leaving for TNA. I know he and some of his former WWE coworkers like Michael Cole stopped speaking after he left.

Never say never, as Jarrett getting inducted is like an ice storm in Hell, but some people getting in is highly unlikely.
