Not that the WWE HOF means anything but...
I don't think there has ever been a rassler more undeserving of his spots and pushes than Jarret. Dude was never a draw. He was pushed in Memphis because of his daddy. He held TNA back so bad in the early days by constantly pushing himself and bringing in Russo. The best thing he ever did is Springbreakers and a video segment where he beat up little kids.

Never in 1,000,000 years would I have thought Jeff Jarrett would be entering the WWE Hall of Fame.
Holding the Intercontinental Championship hostage for $300,000, jumping to WCW with Vince Russo, and most importantly, starting TNA.

JJ on top of dying WCW was really awful. They finally got their act together and made Steiner the top guy, but it was too late.

If we're thinking that way then Sting and Goldberg shouldn't be in. Even Kurt Angle and the Dudleys had longer careers outside of WWE than with WWE.

I like Jarrett as a talent, but not at all as the Triple H of TNA from 2002 to 2006.
That being said, it's hard to argue against the idea that he left a mark in the wrestling business. He was a solid midcard worker in WWE and main event star in WCW (for the standards of the Russo era).
TNA, despite all the negativity surrounding the product, has endured longer than WCW Monday Nitro and for a period from about 2005 to 2011 was the clear #2 wrestling promotion in the United States. These days I'm not even sure if TNA is bigger than ROH.

Goldberg’s career was shorter but he was white hot and the biggest thing in the business.
Jarrett though? Middling WWE guy, crappy top WCW guy when Russo pushed him, massive X-Pac heat in TNA with constant “lose the title” chants.
It would be like making Ken Shamrock a WWE HOFer, except Shamrock was actually over at one point.

If the argument is that the WWE HOF should only apply to someone's career in WWE, then Sting and Goldberg have no place in it. I'm saying its more of a wrestling HOF than just WWE.

Great old school heel outside of WWE/WCW. The heat he got in TNA circa 2004-2005 was unreal.

Jarrett at his peak in WWE was a multi-time IC champ and tag champ. He never had a good program against the world champion, nor was he a major draw as IC champ like someone on par with Honky Tonk Man, Savage, or Warrior.
His best comparison on WWE-only achievements would probably be Scott Hall, except that Hall was far more over and was part of some of the most influential matches on the 90s against Shawn Michaels.
The main reasons Hall got in, IMHO, were due to the nWo angle and his personal friendship with Triple H.
