I am as far from being a meteorologist as most people on here, but I did read in the farmers almanac that this was supposed to be a mild winter, yet it snowed twice... In South Louisiana... In the same year.. But I have no idea about changes in jet streams.

Looking out in the future with the computer models and it would appear spring is here. Perhaps even totally done with the freezes until next winter.
