So, if those statistics are correct, there are fewer school shootings than people tend to think. Media coverage hypes school shootings far more than gang killings, domestic cases, etc.
Huh?

The numbers you just gave show there's 5-6 school shootings a week. I didn't realize that and that's absurdly high, nowhere near fewer than most would tend to think.

5-6/week based on a full 52 week year. How many weeks is school normally in session?

By school shootings they mean anything that happens in a school gun related. Not mass murder type of things. So if a kid takes a gun to school to commit suicide, to show his friends and it fires accidentally, etc. That 250 a year is how often a gun is fired in a school.

Sorry. I totally blew that. The data set was for 4 years - 2013-2017. I said it was for last year. Brain fart.
