Seriously. This doesn't happen as often as people think at all.
This shite isn't happening across the world with this frequency. I'm pretty sure it happens more in the US than all other countries combined or something like that.

285 school shootings in US last year (includes anything from a gun being fired w/no injuries to a gun being fired with fatalities)
580K shootings in the US last year
So, if those statistics are correct, there are fewer school shootings than people tend to think. Media coverage hypes school shootings far more than gang killings, domestic cases, etc.
The numbers you just gave show there's 5-6 school shootings a week. I didn't realize that and that's absurdly high, nowhere near fewer than most would tend to think.

5-6/week based on a full 52 week year. How many weeks is school normally in session?

4 - If a shooter is found to have used weapons not registered to him prosecute the frick out of whomever the weapon is registered to unless that weapon had been reported stolen.
And yes gun do not magically appear out of nowhere. At some point in that weapons life it was sold to someone that had to like that weapons serial number to the purchaser. If that person can not show proof of sale or a LE report of it being stoles than it is the last owners responsibility to secure that weapon.
(I know this isn't how the law works right now but it should, and this would not infringe upon the 2 Amend. And its not a gun registry, it's using the information that is currently required to be collected in non person to person sales.)
This would end proxy purchases and forces people who buy guns to be accountable and responsible for them. I'm 100% anti-gun control but I am 100% firearm owner accountability. No way in hell I would even sell a gun to by brother without writing up a simple bill of sale. CYA. Cause not everyone is as responsible as I am with weapons.

By school shootings they mean anything that happens in a school gun related. Not mass murder type of things. So if a kid takes a gun to school to commit suicide, to show his friends and it fires accidentally, etc. That 250 a year is how often a gun is fired in a school.

The number of such incidents in the US was only one less than in all the other 36 countries put together. In 13 of those countries there were no incidents at all, either actual or attempted.
In 2010, the US was home to a population of approximately 309 million. The populations of these other countries totaled 3.8 billion.
And this doesnt even factor in the fact the US had an extreme uptick in school shootings since 2011......
I mean this is a laughable thing to compare. First off, let's start by comparing how our schools are as far as discipline. If we had the type of discipline that many parts of the rest of the world have like we did in the 50s and 60s we probably wouldn't have these issues either.
Because it makes a ton of sense to compare American schools to Chinese schools....

Incentivize teachers or school employees to carry guns by offering training and pay increase to bget that person or persona responsible to protect on event of a situation.
That'd make these coward sick fricks think twice before shooting up a school, the possibility someone is gonna shoot back.
Guarantee it cut out lot of this shite.

You’re too dense to understand that I realized it was a cheap comment and removed it. It wasn’t pussified, it was realizing I was wrong to post it.

You were an idiot for thinking that was a good idea to post in the first place.
You're too big of a pussy to stand by your decision to post it in the first place.
They are separate issues.

Why not have a class for students that allows some of them to concealed carry in school?

So the answer to preventing school shootings is to arm the minor students? Not sure if serious...

quote: They should allow concealed carry by the teachers if extra classes are taken I'm all for trying this, but I dont think it will be the end all be all that so many seem to think. The level of training that it would take for a teacher to be able to effectively respond to a shooter and take them out with a handgun going up against an AR15 is very high. So many people have this romantic idea of the good guy with a gun, and its just not realistic to think someone with basic pistol training could respond under the intense chaos and stress of a mass shooter event.
I think you're missing part of the equation. I agree with you that a teacher with handgun training isn't all of a sudden going to become a navy seal. But I don't think you need to be. Once you have someone fire even a single shot back at an active shooter, he has to take account of this person, slow down what he's doing, and possibly take cover or flee. All of which turns this from a literal free-for-all into a standoff AND gives law enforcement more time to arrive and respond. Not to mention it makes the entire situation a lot more mentally taxing to begin with for the shooter, knowing that you won't be able to freely walk the halls of the school shooting an entirely defenseless student population.
