A pair of pit bulls bit a woman on the hand and killed a Chihuahua in two attacks on Monday.

The dogs were captured certain

Both incidents happened on Bon Aire Drive after 12:30 p.m. Monroe Police Executive Officer Reggie Brown confirmed.

Kisha Fuller said her fiance, Tomario Johnson, took her Chihuahua out to the backyard. As the two were walking in, she said the pit bulls rushed in from behind and into the home where they grabbed the Chihuahua.

Fuller grabbed her five-month-old son from his bouncer and shut him in another room while Johnson forced the dogs from the home. Her Chihuahua, a pet since 2012, died following the attack.

When she called the Monroe Police Department to report the incident, Fuller learned officers already were in the neighborhood on a second report.

Brown said a woman was out with her dog when she encountered the two pit bulls. The woman was bit during the attack and was transported to St. Francis for treatment.

The MPD located both pit bulls in the Town and Country neighborhood around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The owners said their dogs escaped from a fenced backyard and went missing Monday. They surrendered the pair for quarantine.

pieces of shite. the dogs have been doing this for a couple of months now and the police already questioned the owners on multiple occasions and they lied to them.

I was going to get a bunch of pit bulls to put in my backyard but decided on timberwolves instead.

Honestly, the people who buy pitbulls are just as big of pieces of shite as these baby killers.

these dogs have literally terrorized T&C for months.

not sure why it took someone getting bitten yesterday before they finally did something.

In a better world, they'd televise their execution.

Chihuahua probably was talking trash and caused the pit bull to get angry.

I decided to go with lions... At least I will not think they are safe and wouldn't hurt a fly before they attack me.

I can't be convinced that pit bulls are just a misunderstood breed. I'm sure there are some sweet gentle pit bulls but there are far too many that are vicious. I would never in a million years trust one of those dogs around a child no matter who raised it.

They misunderstood alright. People don't realize these dogs are bred to fight.

Exactly. Violence seems to be embedded in them, they are ticking time bombs.
