Anybody hear from TideSaint?
He had a mancrush on foster.

TideSaint wanted the Saints to draft him in a big way.
foster’s (condition) was the most obvious in recent draft history.
The bammers and Saban did an excellent job of covering up for him.
But anybody with any sense could see this coming from a mile away.
How do NFL teams still make these type of mistakes?
Desperation for a particular position?
Doesn’t work anymore in the NFL.
Character and Brains matter!

i mean, i agree with you completely about folks on both sides largely not being fans of abuse, but...
wouldn't this just mean that you were doing your job, and not be an indictment on how you feel about the people you're arresting?
Like, wouldn't you have to arrest them whether you disagree with abuse or not, because it's against a law?

San Francisco struck a trade with the Seahawks, acquiring Seattle's pick at No. 31 overall to select hard-hitting Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster. In exchange, the 'Hawks netted the 34th pick in the second round along with the Niners' pick at No. 111.
They actually would lose 2 players. The second and fourth round picks they gave up for foster.
I don't see them cutting bait, but this has to sting. Not as bad as junior and what he did to our cap.

The same reason guys still blow money in Vegas, date strippers and Instagram whores and invest in crypto junk (not saying all are junk but chasing is dumb) - they get hard thinking about the upside and dismiss the very real and likely downside.
Just like the stock market, slow and steady almost always wins over speculative. But when that one spec pick or bet turns out good, you get cocky and think you can do it again.

Now we are all glad we missed out on Foster.
Been glad we got rid of Cooks.
And glad we didn’t land Malcom Butler.
Funny how things worked out for the best.
If any of those 3 had worked out, we wouldn’t have Big Ram or Marcus Lattimore for the next 10 years!!!
I’m a happy mother fricker!!!!!

Damn he's pulling those stunts in Los Gatos? Can't get away with anything there and this fool probably won't learn his lesson from this incident.

They may not have a choice. Let's look at Foster's last 12 months.
1. Gets thrown out of the combine last year for telling a male nurse, "he could get these hands" during a physical examination.
2. The combine he also provides a diluted sample which put him in league's substance abuse program.
3. In October, Foster & Ray Ray Armstrong had guns pulled on them outside a San Francisco club. Apparently, Foster handed his jewelry to a female with him & asked club security to escort him to his vehicle yet he has guns pulled on him. Foster says he fled on foot to avoid the robbery. Sounds like a deal to buy weed to me & the dealers decided they were going to pull a jack move instead.

5. Last month, he gets arrested in Alabama for marijuana possession while already being in the league's substance abuse program.
6. Now, domestic violence, threats & a possession of an assault rifle (illegal in California)
Goodell may have no choice but to lay down the hammer with Foster. When I say that I mean an indefinite suspension.

Unlike you, I'm not a little bitch who runs and hides when a player he likes doesn't live up to your expectations.
You sure as frick weren't backing up those Derek Barnett claims throughout the football season.
As far as Foster goes, yeah, he's an idiot who hasn't done himself any favors this offseason. But, he certainly played lights out this season:

As did most people with half a brain. He was an animal on the field.

Covering up what? He got into an altercation with a woman and tried to get her to leave his house according to early reports. Why don't we let the judicial system play itself before we go condemning him to life in prison.

You foresaw him getting into a domestic disturbance based on the way he tackled people in college?

Ray Lewis and Donte Stallworth literally killed people and organizations didn't give two red cents. Winning matters more than anything.

So you are the 2nd bammer with the best defense of this “animal on the field” is ....oh, but what about what these guys did!
The arguments that I had against drafting him was his lack of intelligence (fricking stupid)
And his spearing and personal foul issues that he got away with at Bama.
He would cost his team games for three reasons.
1) Personal fouls
2) Injuries
3) Suspensions
And all for a first round pick!
Yea...great pick.
You’re a Saints fan and still think we should have drafted him?

Ezekiel Elliott was never arrested, charged, or convicted...
6 game suspension.
foster may have never been caught doing anything at alabama...
I’m sure Nick Saban has “half a brain” and was well aware of fosters “issues.”
Saints admittedly “forgot” about intelligence and character for a few years....hence 7-9.
I for one am happy he is not on the Saints team.
Winning at football doesn’t matter more than anything.
