It’s not an excuse you old drunk, he could come close to winning the SEC West in the weakest condition it has been in in decades. The only excuses are the ones you’re making for the worst loss to State EVER and the loss to Troy. LSU should be able to trot out it’s second string and handle Troy, much less just be down a RB.

Didn't watch college football at all last year huh? Go look at Kirby's first season at Georgia and see how happy you would have been
So if you’re using that comparison, 0 should at least win the SEC and make it to the NC game next year. Right?

What excuses??? Both those losses are still on O.. I have not or ever will give him a pass for those....

Keep brining that game up.. 9-4 is 9-4... AS an LSU fan I KNOW its better than 4-8 which YOU seem to be acting like we went.. Again you are the type of so-called fan that thinks we are up there with high and mighty evevy year which we have not been close to after 1-9-12....... FACT.. We have been mediocre at best since that night....

9-4 isn’t good
It just isn’t.
It’s not 4-8
But our schedule is built to get us at least bowl elligable every year.
It’s what we do with the other 7 games that matters and we went 3-4.

No one is blaming O for beating shitty teams
We’re just not celebrating 9 wins (our second lowest total of wins since like 2005) when he didn’t exactly play a ton of good teams.
We went 2-4 vs teams over .500
9-4 is amazing for O, but we can’t hokd LSU to O expectations. We have to hold O to LSU expectations

I also don't buy the schedule bulcrap after the season is over deal... Its not LSU's fault these teams fired coaches or how many losses those teams had... You do what you can to beat the team in front of you... All the schedule crap is just another excuse O haters try to bring up.......
I’ve explained this to you several times PJ. It has nothing to do with bashing or hating O.

Ok.. You said that before the season you saw 10 wins... What were you expecting from A Coach that has never run A program that was any good... How dare you think he was gonna take LSU to the playoffs... OK Lets say he went 4-3 in those games.
IF we had won 10 games instead of nine??? What difference would it have madwe....

LSU IS ON THE RISE: CHECKLIST
1.) "We're going to recruit the best players."
Finish ranked 15th in the country
2.) Gets rid of Peveto and doesn't replace with a new special teams coordinator.
Puts out some of the sloppiest special teams units I've ever seen don a LSU uniform. They can't make field goals, rotated punters, just abysmal.
3.) Ed Orgeron said he wouldn't meddle with the offense.
"Obviously this is Matt's offense...I did step in last week for the first time. I wanted to simplify only the shifts and motions." - Ed Orgeron following the loss to Sun Belt team Troy
Orgeron's simplyifing the offense netted LSU 0 first half points against Troy. Guess what happened in the second half? The motions and shifts were back and LSU put up 21 points.
4.) Snapped a 49 game home winning stream against non-conference opponents by losing to mighty Sun Belt Troy Trojans.
5.) Suffered the worst loss in program history in the longest played series against Mississippi State - 30 points.
But hey, we beat 10-4 Auburn and played Alabama close by only losing by a couple of touchdowns!!!

NO.. Do NOT EVER compare me to that fool................
You know better................
I am just an LSU fan and want them to win every game they can even though I know that won't happen............... I have said this A number of times that O was the wrong hire... But instead of being miserable about it, I try to look a the bright side..[as bleak as it may be]....

I'm still waiting on an explanation from someone about this "miserable" comment that keeps being used. Where did this come from and how is it even applicable?
I'm not happy about the hire, but miserable is just ridiculous. This is a sports discussion, not a life discussion. Am I missing something?

I expect LSU to win 10 games no matter who our HC is. I am Not changing my expectations to accomidateO not being a good HC

Not at all. It's the easy thing to say when you don't agree with someone, and to make yourself feel better I guess? The pro-O's have been doing it since the beginning. And since the arguments haven't really changed, and O hasn't proven anyone wrong, then it's something they keep going back to.
It's most likely a little projection in this case.
It would maybe be applicable if we were Top 10 recruiting, beat ND, and made a good OC hire - those would all be good things to be excited for - but as of right now on nearly every metric, situations are not positive (I'm not saying they are automatically terrible either), and at beast neutral which makes no sense given you fire someone to improve. Especially in this case when the person fired was supposedly the sole reason for the "bad" situation.

Truer words have never been spoken.
For some reason every time I see the word miserable in a post it just makes me disregard the opinion in the post completely. I speak in hyperbole all the time, but that's taking it to a different level for me.
I think disappointed is the best way to describe I feel as of now about football. But, I'm not ruling out the possibility that things may turn around. Ree has pointed out some things that, if become true, could turn out to give us a good year.

This. And Ree drops personal insults quite a bit.

I think most of the critics are, I know I am. I think the difference is trust and respect. I lack any trust or faith in O to fix it, and he hasn't shown me anything that makes me believe or trust him. For others, maybe that's different, but anyone and everyone will judge people and their abilities in public-facing positions, especially if it's something we care about.
If we can't critique O, then we shouldn't be critiquing or expecting more out of thousands and thousands of those public leadership positions.
