WOW literally and figuratively Blizz is getting bad

So I purchased BfA and they no longer give a free 30 days of game play with a pre-purchase. I bought it to fill my time with the level boost for a month until single player games I want start coming out.

I honestly didn't know they still did that if you already had an account... 
I don't think I've gotten a free month for any of the past expansions they've released. Maybe I did and didn't notice.

They have an army of fanboys who eat up any game they produce at this point.
The truth is Blizzard hasn't made anything really great since original WoW and its first expansion and possibly SC2.
Everything they've made the past decade or so has been rather generic and ultimately forgettable. Very highly polished, but bland. Not coincidentally this is roughly when Activision purchased them.
They are living off their brand, their past reputation and the attachment people have to the lore/franchises. Their continued success is due to inertia more so than the games they produce.

You can say what you want, but Blizzard has done a remarkable job with WoW over the past 13+ years. To have the player base it has with the ever dating sub system is impressive.

Almost everything they have ever put out is a classic. They are the best game company that ever existed and it's not even close.

I worked for Cendant who used to own BLIZZ and they offloaded them in a hurry, I am sure they regret it a lot.

They've never made anything bad but, it's clear to me they aren't making the groundbreaking genre defining epic games they once did. The Blizzard of the late 90s and early 2000s is why the Blizzard brand is what it is. They've been in cruise control for awhile now though. Nothing they've done for awhile I find particularly great. Not bad or anything though.

OW is a pretty big game. Its probably the 2nd most popular competitive shooter behind CS. Hots while not a giant in the Moba scene is still pretty popular. SC is still probably the most popular RTS and HS is a card game juggernaut.
