No, you're both wrong. I pay 98% in taxes and it all goes to the Tortillas For Illegals Outreach Program, didn't you know?

74 million guaranteed which is the number that should be looked at. Stafford got 5 years and 92 million guaranteed fwiw.

Makes me wonder what numbers will we be looking at for a guy like A-Rod

Schefty just tweeted that the first three years are worth $90 million. Holy shite.

That's a lot of guaranteed money. But but not that surprising.
Cousins just made himself a lot of money too. And so did any competent qb with contract coming up.

Makes sense to frontload it. If the 49ers get good and have to pay some other players on the back half of this deal it will give them a little more wiggle room. Better to have the higher AAV’s when the team doesn’t have as much other payroll commitments.

Until I saw this, I wasn't buying the stock market's fears of inflation.
I'm getting my money out now.

quote:Nope. Front loaded when they'll have massive cap space. The rebuild was done right, they bit the bullet on younger players on their way to 0-9 instead of loading up on FAs with all that cap space.
Thus ruining any hope for surrounding him with talent. Too expensive.

Kirk Cousins is looking like Mr. Burns right now.

Only because they fricked it up so badly starting two years ago that they couldn't make a good deal for Cousins. They overpaid him twice and never got a long term deal out of it.
They still look like complete morons for playing that negotiation so stupidly at basically every point.

You know how sometimes a trailer for a movie comes out and you just know it's going to be awesome? This is a similar situation.
