wasn't worth the expense. To say osweiler was the reason for that turnaround is a bit misguided I think.
Jimmy G did that, ya nerd.

Dead serious, are you drunk bro?
You're points are so bad that I'm not even sure if they make sense to me.
You used the Moss trade to show how picks are valuable. Dude has 63 targets after 2010. I'm not even sure what your point is.
And Mariota?! Oh my god

Tim Tebow also had a good record as a starting QB in Denver.

For comparison, the Pats traded Randy Moss for a 3rd round pick in 2010.
LOLZ that's supposed to count as a comparison? Randy was at the tail end of his career and run in NE at the time and had a reputation as a petulant quitter on teams, Jimmy G's young and trending upward as a viable NFL starting QB and was slated to be TB12's successor, completely different and distinct scenarios

A 2nd round pick to the Patriots is valuable.
Randy Moss had just come off a season in which he had over 1200 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns.
Hindsight is 2020, but Moss was definitely not a scrub at the time of the deal.
He went into the season disgruntled.

Had back to back 1000 yard seasons with 39 receiving touchdowns in those 2 seasons. Definitely not just a throwaway.

Case Keenum even led the Vikings to the NFC championship.
Guy starts 7 games in his career and this board has already anointed him.
Incredible. Can't wait to bump this thread.

If you watch the tape of Jimmy G and Keenum this year and can't arrive at the conclusion that Jimmy G was leaps and bounds better, nobody can help you.

Before and during that season, dude kept complaining about his contract situation and intimating that that season was probably his final season with the Pats hell that was corroborated by TB12 when he noticed Moss' declining work ethic during training camp and raised that to Hoodie to which Hoodie assuaged his concerns, THEN during the Miami game that season TB12 raised it to Hoodie again when Moss was dogging it on a couple of routes and threatened never to pass to Moss again, within days Hoodie traded him to Minnesota

Jimmy G now makes ten times the money Case Keenum makes and he hasn't even played a full season yet. If you can't see that, then nobody can help you buddy.

I do see that. Now ask yourself why is Jimmy G getting paid more than Keenum ever will? What do the professional scouts and GMs see that you fail to understand?

Smarter in the Vikes case to franchise Keenum then sign him to a long-term deal if he pans out. Apparently Lynch wants to pull the trigger on Jimmy G now and build for the future, I can see both sides but if you're coming off 5-0 with a putrid and pathetic roster led by Jimmy G at QB who showed out, you wanna secure him for the revival plus enable him to establish a relationship with his rising star head coach who knows a thing or two about offense.

1.) sample size
2.) completion percentage is near identical, Keenums ratio is much better, Jimmy had a higher YPG by about 25 yards but with on average 4-5 more attempts per game, Jimmy has a very high YPA that will in all likely Hood come down with the larger sample size. Case had a 22/7 TD-INT ratio while Jimmy had 7 TDs to 5 INTs
I think Jimmy is the better bet but to say he’s Leaps and bounds better based on last years performance is silly.

It's complete insanity when you think about it. These dudes get paid life-changing money for just a few years of "work" playing a freaking game...a great game, but a game in which they talk shite 80% of the game and dance or come up with some ridiculous move to do each time they do something good. And if the absurd money is not enough, they get their asses kissed by thousands each time they do something good at work.

Because as stated earlier in the thread, the 49ers have a lot of cap space and can afford to pay him this money. To say any team would give him this money without any other team offering him this money or any credible sources claiming he would have got this money is just complete utter rubbish.
I repeat, the 49ers were the only team to offer him this. You're talking about of your arse if you say any team would have offered him this deal.

If you have access to the 2018 PFF QB review please take a look.
Jimmy G
1. Ranked BEST in highest percentage of positively graded throws and just sixth lowest percentage of negative throws. Keenun average in both.
2. Led the NFL in yards per attempt of 8.76
3. Led the NFL in completion % under pressure: 62.3%
4. Led the NFL in passer rating when outside the pocket: 116.5
He did all this with one of the worst supporting casts in all of the NFL.

And Keenum is getting paid $950,000 and he was good enough to get the Vikings to the NFC championship game.
Garappolo is literally going to be making 27x what Keenum is make this season.
No legitimate playoff team could afford to take this risk, not even close. Only a team with a lot of cap and a will to allow him to play and grow could have done this. That means only a shite team could have gone this route.

7 TD 5 int. Still averaged an interception a game. Whats going to happen once teams get more film on him?

A TON of parity in the NFL. Notice how the Jaguars and Rams went from garbage teams to playoff contenders in pretty much 1 season?
Jacksonville went from 3-13 to division champs and even knocked off the Steelers.
Rams went from 4-12 to 11-5 and division champs in one season.

Thing is tigger, dude was hyped up to extremes based off the 5-0 mark and was gonna be a FA, it's plausible there would've been a market for his services maybe John Elway and Denver learn under arguably the greatest and play with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, teams need viable, solid quarterbacks yo
