Alleva tried to get Jimbo... failed TWICE!
He then tried to get Herman... failed
Settled with O, O gets a top OC like he promised and they disagree and argue... leads to bad divorce
Enter Steve E: who promises up-tempo with 3-4 wr sets, utilizing talent, with a competent qb!!! sign me up
Surtain isn't even the best cb coming into college; the Radley-Hiles kid at Okl is. Amon-Ra St. Brown had his way with him. You saw him get burned all through the Army game and on the final drive gives up the game winning TD... no hips, gets lost and turned around easy

I noticed you only listed two corners, what will the dime package look like? You know how much Aranda loves to stack the field with DBs. And what happens if one of the starters gets injured?

So why even try to get top talent? Apply the same mindset for recruiting, why try to get top tier players, just go sign 25 2* and 3* players from in state and be done with it.

There would've been more options than just Jimbo, Herman and O if Alleva had actually conducted a search.
If Ensminger is so good, they why didn't he get the job last year after being the interim OC after Miles and Cameron got fired? Ensminger is so good...when LSU played a defense with an actual pulse, it resulted in being shutout at home by Bama and only scoring 10 at home vs Florida.
