LSU returns only 39% of its total production from last year, which is last in the SEC and 122/131 in the country

We might be FUBAR next year
ETA: We return 48% total. 39% of offense
Wait a second, I was constantly told we were exceptionally young this year and that was why we didn't perform better. Are we gonna use the same excuse next year if we under perform?

thought the argument was on how young this team was?
They were young and thin on the lines due to injuries and suspensions early in the season. At one point, they were starting 3 freshman on the offensive line, 2 freshmen on the defensive line, had only 6 healthy scholarship o-linemen, and only 5 healthy scholarship d-linemen. However, the team got healthier and more mature as the year wore on as veterans returned from injury, and guess what, the line play got significantly better as a result.
So yes, where it mattered on the lines, they were very very young.
Next year, all of those freshmen who were forced to start games will be expected to start all year. We should be far deeper and more experienced on both lines. However, we will be far less experienced at QB, HB, FB, and CB.

So i expect 9-3 minimum with a cupcake game cancelled AND a SOS of AT A MINIMUN OF #2 in the NCAA. Is that correct?

The most irrelevant and ridiculous stat in a long time! ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconspank.gif)

Everyone knows gumbo is better on the second day. Lyin Ed will be fine.

Yeah there's no proven WR's on this team

Well hell! What’s the point of even playing next year? We should just forfeit so that nobody gets hurt.

Gotta put the cart before the horse kiddies. (And all we got is a little red Radio Flyer Wagon for a cart)
No Clapp. No Center.

But I thought we played all these freshman because Miles left the cupboard bare.
Well anyone with a brain can tell you most of that production was gage, Chark, Williams, guice, and etling. That's hardly a full cupboard.

I've said this for many weeks now. Does nobody remember 2014? New OL coach, new scheme, failry young starting OL that will have no experienced depth, young QB with barely any playing time, no impact WR or RB,
We start with Miami (neutral) and Auburn (away) in the first 3 games. Skip a few weeks, then we have UF on the road, UGA, Miss St and Bama in a 5 week span.
At least we won't be blown out thanks to Aranda, but I don't see us averaging more points per game than we did in 2017 (27.2)

Along with 9 other of Miles teams, 2014 scored more ppg than the 2017 LSU team which is returning only half it's production in 2018.
Comforting.

Who puts any stock into crap stats like this? Hell, a team with crappy players coming back will have better percentages of "returning production" than a team loaded with young talent which hasn't played much.
Some of you are just moronic.

Not necessarily a bad thing for a five loss team
