Into S2 so far. I like it okay to watch leisurely but not at binge or cigar level yet.

Anyone else so put off by Peggy's character they almost don't want to watch? She's fricking horrible.

Most of the big characters have major ups and downs. You will hate and love them at different times.

I binged it. At first I thought “why did everyone go nuts over this show?”

By the end I was so attached to it I was sad to see it over. It’s a really really great show.

It was a good show. It almost lost me a few times, but always seemed to pick up when it needed to. I thought Peggy became an awkward, funny-ish character adter a while.

Roger was awesome and of course, dem titties

Peggy becomes the best character besides Don.

There is a male protagonist and a female protagonist and Peggy is it.

Serious...

Spoilers...

Stay Away...

SPoiliers:

She becomes half the story...and her strange relationship becomes a big part of the story. Mad Men is all chauvanestic...but in retrospect it's a Women's lib show. Peggy, Joan even the wives of the men.

They all break away from being subsrvient secretaries to totally successful on their own merit.

If you don't like Peggy...you will hate the show. Don is the confused character, Peggy is the driven fast talking career gal character who doesn't want to get married.

The show is showing the shift from the 50's to the late 60's. Leave it to Beaver is collapsed - imploded upon itself - and even Don goes Hippie.

And the Pete and Peggy scene might just be the best scene in the series. Pete is such a fool. Peggy knows what she wants.

What the frick? Peggy is possibly the most interesting character on the show. And Elizabeth Moss is a terrific actress.

I think I made it to season 4 before I lost interest and haven’t picked it back up. They lost me on the whole Megan arc. She’s an annoying character.

The first couple seasons were great though. I felt like it did a good job presenting the historical material without getting too preachy.

It's not the type of show that has a lot of action. Too many people go into it thinking that every episode will have something to do with the main character.

She's arguably the best character on the entire series.

Inam kinda of the thought that you really need to have lived through those years to truly understand and appreciate that show.

Those were truly the good old days. PCness be damned ... no holds barred post WWII when America owned the world for the most part. Men were men and women were glad of it ... even the the OG feminists enjoyed the freedom of those days.

I'll say this - it took me two tries to binge to catch up with the show (I think it was in S3 at that point) - I didn't keep up and didn't end up finishing all of it until I got Mrs. Midnight to watch with me.

Suffer through the first about season and a half IIRC. It finally picks up into the 3rd season and is great.

Jon Hamm alone is worth watching it for.
