For inshore? I have a similar rod that I paired with a Lamson Konic. It has held up well against the salt and doesn't break the bank.

I have a few rods in that neighborhood. Have an orvis, hatch, and Galvan reel and haven’t had a problem with any of them. My Galvan torque “feels” like the best reel for the money but I can only comment on the reels I have. Just stick with a reputable brand large arbor reel and you’ll be fine.

What's your budget? I have Bauer and Tibor reels. Not sure there is anything better than a Tibor but they're expensive.

I have a bunch of Orvis freshwater reels and would not hesitate to recommend most any of them.

I am still running Ross gunnisons for inshore fishing from back in the late 1990’s. They are simple and most reds and speckled trout you do not need a huge drag. If you surf fish it is easy to clean the salt and sand out of it.

Best one years ago for surf fishing was Lamson which back in the day were pricey.
