Because any GOOD RB ought to be able to run against Bama (even with an inferior OL)

In defense of Ensminger, Fournette played hurt all year

Les Miles, Cam Cameron, Ed Orgeron, and Steve Ensminger have to be the dumbest fricker in football to not have had an unstoppable offense with him AND Guice.

Yeah, 24 carries for 76 yds = 3.2 ypc. 2 recpt for 13 yds. LSU looks foolish for not making better use of him than the pros. Idiot!

Anyone with a brain could’ve figured out how to use Leonard and Guice at the same time and spread the defense out with how you line up

This x350, heck I know plenty of high school coaches in Louisiana will do better job with LSU talent

This is bad but nowhere near the travesty of having Chris Jackson, Shaquille O'Neil and Stanley Roberts. Thats a Superteam.

He ran square into the teeth of their defense on most of those plays. Saw 1 toss dive which was his best run.

They used him wrong as well or he is just not patient enough to let holes open.

Their offense was very LSUesque in the second half.

LF up the gut on 1st and 2nd then throw a 3 yard pass on 3rd and long

Also you can’t even blame the QBs cause the Jags with Blake fricking Bortles are making it work in the NFL.

Bortles was a better QB in college than what we've had.

And THAT is like saying the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

Just saying,

LF7 is a very athletic player. But if you go back and watch the game films, he really was a downhill runner. He never really did well running the ball up the middle or dive runs.

Too early to dog Ensminger. Can dog O for the hire tho.

My opinion has always been that our Oline was vastly overrated. They never showed up against Bama and were average against physical Defenses.

^This...Plus LF had a pretty modest game and in fact a modest rookie year. He only averaged 3.9 yards a carry but got to 1,000 yards on volume alone. The dude is going to have a good NFL career if he gets his ankle problems figured out. The same thing that kept him down his junior year. Plus he was the front runner for the Heisman for most of his sophomore year. Go watch the Auburn, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Ole Miss games. To say he was not utilized is just foolish.

In the NFL with a nonfactor like Bortles as your QB, that's pretty good. Defenses keyed in on Fournette and he still made plays. His numbers don't look all that impressive unless you watched their games.
