Not surprised. Glad my wife got to leave at 1.

Interesting that TWC upped accumulations. I don't think BR is going to have much sleet, the next batch of moisture may begin as all snow and stay that way until it is done. If we get under some heavier bands then I could see accumulations up to an inch or more in certain areas.
I was getting a little sleet mixed in the last rain blob we got. I'd be surprised if it isn't all snow personally. If we get over an 1" though I'd be floored!

I wish I were driving to the PMAC but going from Acadian area toward St. George. I should be able to navigate it using surface streets if I have to.

10E interchange at 49 in Lafayette is closed due to icing

The GFS shows us getting .07 inches of QPF with temps in the mid to upper 20s. That may be enough to get us higher ratios than 10 to 1. Maybe 15 to 1? Not sure what temps are above surface but I see they should be freezing throughout. Anyway, that would definitely support over an inch during the last hour or so of this event.

The way the bands are looking to move, I would not be surprised of 3"+ here.

Yeah, he's talking about BR but really most of the area.

caring about safety would be to postpone the game to a later time & date
The two teams are already on campus, no reason to cancel a game because people outside of town can’t drive to watch it

Damn that’s a higher rate of snow than I expected!

What part of BR is that?

Wunderground radar shows it knocking on the door. Shouldn't be much longer.
1-3 inches according to them.

Snowing the hardest it has all day here in NW Calcasieu now. Accumulations are starting to build. All the earlier sleet is making it the not good snow like we had in December. It feels like snow cone ice.
