That’s your perception. Total offense is basically the same since 2014, which is as far back as I went.
Ironically, the 2017 total offense is about 100 yards more than the 2015 total offense—and we had a cancelled game in 2015.
There was more movement on the line (gimmicks) and better execution of the short pass, but the offensive production is basically the same.

You are saying O didn't claim to meddle in the Troy game?
Ed Orgeron admits to sameddling
meeting
The gatherings, in part, seemed to center on LSU’s offense. Players said the Tigers played a different offense in the first half against Troy, one more similar to the scheme Steve Ensminger used last year as the interim coordinator. They switched back to Canada’s offense in the second half.
Orgeron acknowledged earlier this week that he made changes to Canada’s scheme, but he announced the offensive coordinator now has full control. Center Will Clapp on Tuesday said Canada delivered offensive players a message Monday: “We’re going to get back to us,” he told them.

well that's not true
Can't fin team stats for McNeese from the 80s , so I'll start with La Tech
1988-1990 La Tech:
1988: 196 pass ypg; 71 rush ypg; 266 total ypg
1989: 202 pass ypg; 154 rush ypg; 356 total ypg
1990: 238 pass ypg; 212 rush ypg; 450 total ypg
- so he improved his pass offense and rush offense each year he was there. He went from 196 passing yards his first year to 238 his last and from 71 rushing yards per game his first to 212 his last. he nearly doubled his total offensive output from his first year to his last. Only once has Canada ever had a team average 450 yards per game on offense. So at his very first stop, he had a better season than most of canada's. Well, your post has already been proven wrong but I'll continue
UGA 1991-1993 (Qbs Coach)
1991: 220 pass ypg; 12 TDs, 4 INts, 53.5 comp%
1992: 215 pass ypg; 13 Tds, 12 INTs, 58.8 comp%
1993: 323 pass ypg; 24 TDs, 7 INts, 63.0 comp%
- so as QBs coach he went from 220 pass ypg his first year to 323 pass ypg his last year. He doubled UGA's TDs output and increased comp% by 10%. That's look pretty good right?
Texas A&M 1994-1996
1991: 188 pass ypg; 172 rush ypg; 360 total ypg
1992: 200 pass ypg; 176 rush ypg; 376 total ypg
1993: 174 pass ypg; 230 rush ypg; 404 total ypg
Looks like the offense improved their total output each year there too with a 44 yard improvement from year 1 to year 3. Remember Canada having more seasons under 400 ypg than not, yeah Ensminger had an offense do that at A&M as well, and in an era with not as much offense no less
Clemson 1997-1998
1997: 191 pass ypg; 152 rush ypg; 343 total ypg
1998: 184 pass ypg; 120 rush ypg; 304 total ypg
- yep he sucked and Clemson and got fired.
In summation, what in the frick are you talking about? Canada coaches in an era where offenses are king and that regularly put up numbers that dwarf offenses of the 80s and 90s, yet Canada puts up numbers comparable to the offenses of the 80s and 90s most years. He's had two seasons that were worth a damn as OC. I'll post his seasons again to refresh your memory
quote:
Northern Illinois:
2003: 71.5 378.9 5.3
2011 71.6 476.0 6.6
Indiana:
2007 70.8 393.8 5.6
2008 66.9 348.2 5.2
2009 67.4 365.0 5.4
2010 71.8 387.5 5.4
Wisconsin:
2012 66.1 393.3 5.9
NC State:
2013 78.8 403.5 5.1
2014 68.4 408.5 6.0
2015 73.3 413.3 5.6
Pittsburgh:
2016 66.6 446.8 6.7
Canada's worst season was 2008. He averaged 348 ypg. Ensomnger's best season was in 1990 with La Tech. He averaged 450 yards per game.
Now I'm going to refresh your memory with this post

So are you willing to admit you were full of shite or is your argument that 450 ypg is not as good as 348 ypg? I'll hang up and listen

That last year he was at A&M he was fired because they won 6 games and lost to USL

Lots of fricking idiots have a job.
Canada is 20 years younger and has about 7 more years as a OC.
Go figure.

You've brought this up a few times tonight. Pretty clever.

He meddled in the Florida game also. He did it all year. Let’s be honest with ourselves.

well in Canada's most recent season as OC he was fired and lost to Troy and scored 7 points against Miss State.
But seriously, is that the best you can do? Doesn't address anything else or even what I was responding to which is the statement that Canda's worst season was better than Ensminger's best which couldn't be further from the truth and is just factually and objectively false.

O has literally broken every single promise he made and these fools just gobble it up

no proof and can't be proven so let's just run with this narrative.... OR let's draw a simpler conclusion..Canada isn't very good and never was

yeah, go figure, he never stays anywhere long enough for teams to figure out he's a fraud. actually maybe he's just a genius to pull that off

Lsu cracked the Saban code—hire coaches no one else wants! This is exactly the type of coaching staff that will put fear into the SEC. We comin!!

Your buffoon of a head coach hired his arse without any vetting then cost the school 1.7 million dollars. So regardless of your opinion on his offense, which is a really good offense btw, it all falls on 0.

I saw the games before Troy and they looked like shite. I saw games after Troy and they largely looked like shite. I'm trying to figure out which games Orgeron "meddled" in. The rant keeps changing their mind and it's hard to keep up. I guess maybe it just changes depending on what narrative they're trying to push

Ok.. I'm not claiming Canada is the best OC he had 1 year I think you don't fire him after 1 year if you never really let him do his job. If it's too much then to handle then fire him .
You certainly don't replace him with a OC that has not been an real OC in 20 years. You certainly don't plan to run a spread which he never ran. And you certainly don't try to modernize your offense with a 73 year old passing coordinator.

when did I say I liked Ed Orgeron? I'm talking about Canada and his worth as an OC, or lack thereof
And there is really nothing to support that Canada has a really good offense. He's had 2 good years in 12 as an OC. Even Gary Crowton had great success in individual seasons.
