It's called being multiple. You prefer 1 dimensional? Do you have to shite on everything before even seeing what will happen?

That isn't what they said.

They literally would not commit to a style of Offense. They listed everything they could possibly do.

Having an actual Offensive system that you run exclusively is how a team gets great on offense. Obviously you TWEAK the offense to personnel, but that isn't what they were saying.

They have no clue what they are going to run.

I'm talking about Ed Orgeron, the Head Coach. How can you listen to that and not think "My god"?

Just babbling away with 10cent catchphrases. No actual answers. Just platitudes.

Can't answer the style of offense. Can't answer what type of QB they will recruit...that one actually stuck in my craw big time.

Exactly. And it's such a stark contrast to when you listen to a guy like Will Wade who has a clear vision of what he wants to do and knows how he is going to try to accomplish it down to even down to the most seemingly insignificant detail. I said it the second the hire was made and have no reason to change my opinion whatsoever. LSU made a Johnny Jones type hire in football:

Long time coach with with little to know major success? Check

Coach who had no major college prospects at the time of hire? Check.

Was a candidate for the LSU job ONLY because he was from Louisiana? Check.

Rah-rah coach who speaks only in broad platitudes with seemingly no substantive detailed plan as to how he intends on accomplishing those goals? Check.

Only regarded positive trait is recruiting ability? Check.

In game demeanor is essentially non-involved? Check.

It is truly unbelievable how, at best, imperceptive, or at worst, utterly stupid Joe Alleva is as an AD. He made the EXACT SAME frickING HIRE in football that he made 5 years prior in basketball WHILE his illogical hire in basketball was in the process of bottoming out the program! He literally repeated history AS the disappointing end stages of that history were being written.

It stems from Alleva bending over backwards for the good ole boys that have his ear and often the school's pocket book. In the case of both Johnny Jones and Eddy O, the "he's one of us" crowd yelled loud enough behind the scenes to make Alleva think the hire would be a good idea.

O also said we were going to be "officient" in the redzone, which i can only assume is a word he created that means offensively efficient. I guess he's trying to be efficient with his time when he talks.

you did hear when Ensmiger said he wasn't sure yet what they were going to run, and that he would discuss and get input from his other coaches, which i saw as a slap in the face to Canada about how he basically came in and said this is the offense we are going to run, now learn it.

They do not have a clue what they are going to run yet, and they even said that.

I love the rabbit ears and sad attempt to respond to all the complaints. Does he actually think that he’s fooling anyone when he changes his wording from “best coordinator” to “best coordinator for LSU”? It’s like he’s so stupid he believes fans won’t pickup on his bullshite. He basically tried to shutdown all the complaints about the things he’s been doing by spewing more lies and hoping that’ll satisfy the fans negativity. He sounds like a child who was caught in a lie red handed and trying to talk his way out of it. What a joke this guy is and I’m emberassed that I was willing to give the guy a chance and hold off judgment when people kept trying to tell me what this guy really was.

Yep. That is truly concerning. There's so much wrong with this.

1.) If you don't know what you're doing, don't admit it.
2.) It sounds like they are trying to develop an offensive system from scratch and don't yet know what it will look like. I don't have the confidence that this group is capable of this.
3.) If somehow they come up with a great new system, what the hell does that mean for our guys next year? We're going to have coaches AND players learning a new system. Again, I don't have the confidence that this group is capable of pulling this off.
4.) If you don't know what you're doing, don't admit it!

Someone asked him point blank about recruiting diff style of qb during the last regime, like they didnt know what type of guy they wanted to go after.

Eds answer was basically, neither do I.

That got the last guy fired for crying out loud.

It sounded to me like they believe they can just run a variety of systems with no base, and just craft it around personnel.

That is absolutely batshit insane in college football.

Pick a system. Tweak it to the players.

so we're now moving beyond the secret playbook --
it's the secret scheme.

Boy are we going to have our opponents fooled.

Genius.

Its never too late man. We love and LSU and Ed Orgeron is just not the right guy for us. Never was and never will be.
