Steve Ensminger told me & others he had no interest in being the offensive coordinator. This is Coach O persuading him to take the spot. U feel different but Steve is a good coach. Now, calling plays on gameday is an art form. Only a few excel at it. Develop Myles & Lowell at QB

I really hope Steve does a good job as offensive coordinator and I have no problem with him personally I think he’s a good coach but the problem I have is with the process by which the position was filled

so the guy really didnt want it because he knows he isnt a good play called or strategist but O pushes into a job he understands he cant to well

if he wanted it i support giving him a chance but if he had to be forced into accepting it we are truly screwed because that means he knows he cant do the job.

if this is true, and not BS like 60% of the talk out there, then this is really bad

I’m older than Steve. He doesn’t want it because of the stress and strain as compared to what he has. He will never be able to put in the effort that it takes for him to be successd.
It’s just a shame.

O wanted his mama to take the position, but she politely declined 27 times.

This sentiment will not go over well BUT, Ensminger is a good coach. Nobody is happy with anything regarding the hire, including myself. Ensminger is going to do his best to put a good offense on the field. He did a pretty decent job in 2016 considering the circumstances. It is not out of the realm of possibility that we could have a decent enough offense next year to win games. We certainly have the talent to do it. It’s going to come down to the same things as always, QB play and how the O line shapes up. Everybody was pretty pleased with the O line hire and we have some good talent there. I’m NOT saying we will have the best offense in the country. I’m just saying don’t crucify him and the offense before we have even played a snap.

I don't see how your heart can be into doing a job to 100% of your ability if you have to be persuaded to do it.

Persuaded to take the OC job? I wouldn't be surprised.

Well, here we are.

Isn't this Detiller one of those "experts" running around telling everyone that every LSU draft-eligible junior is leaving because they're projected 1st round?

F him.
