And now a judge in NC doesn't like Rs drawing districts so he ruled that they have to be redrawn.

Just like the 9th Circus saying a Democrat EO supersedes a Republican EO, all of a sudden gerrymandering is bad. We all know of the Den districts that are like 3 houses wide in some areas, but Rs are evil for drawing favorable districts.

I say we go to square districts.

Come on, everyone knows that the Republican strategy was to control as many state legislatures as possible at the 2000 and 2010 census to redraw districts to favor Republicans. This has been talked about for about 15 years. Don't act like this is a new idea you've never heard of.

Which party do you think would more oppose redrawing ALL districts into square districts?

Totally agree --> go to top-left to bottom-right, we read this way and we can redistrict this way.

I'm OK with pure math and geography.

This guy developed a computer algorithm that draws districts with zero politics involved.

La districts using computer algorithm.

Amazing that Mel Watt's 12th district passed constitutional muster. The Republicans re-drew it to at least make it look like something other than a snake. The way it was for decades was laughable.
