but because it's "late" in the game, the number of openings is lower than had this happened immediately after the season.

Again, I don't necessarily disagree. Just answering the question of why he would take a lesser buyout. Whether it works or not remains to be seen.

Regardless, it is a very interesting tactic that I don't think I've seen before, but expect to see more of going forward given the egos of most coaches.

It’s more than he’s a piece of shite. He’s just not very smart and consistently displays a lack of emotional intelligence.

So we agree his buyout is an anomaly.

I wouldn't say it's an anomaly at all.

So the maniac Orgeron is not fired because of the buyout? Why would anyone keep him around. Of course, why would anyone hire that individual in any case. Geezus.

lying to the fans will get you fired. Miles would still be coaching today if he had actually followed through with his word to open up the offense.

So, just what qualities or attributes does Ed Orgeron have to be a HC for an allegedly elite football program?

He can't bring anything strategically and he's a toxic manager.

if it goes really bad the experiment will end after 2018. alleva will be gone too. not the worst thing in the world.

Problem with this is that 2019 will be a big recruiting year in Louisiana. If we don't land most of these top kids, it may not matter who takes over as head coach. We may have some very bad years coming.

the OC had some responsibilities also; it's his job to set the game plan and sell it to the HC. maybe he tried or not; who knows. but going to O's boss was not smart.

Perhaps Orgeron wasn't the one that actually hired Canada. Maybe Alleva actually hired him.

So our coach does petty things when he doesn’t like someone. That’s comforting...

What sense does ANY of this make for Aranda staying, and seemingly siding with O and SE (per some “reports”)???

Why would Aranda who could clearly find another job at the drop of a hat (and for obviously more $$$ @ A&M) stick around this mess if these accusations are true???

That part does not add up to me at all. Especially if Aranda was in the meeting with Alleva, O, and Canada during the “airing of the grievances.”
