Why would the FBI 'get her'? They were working for her, essentially.
Yeah. She wanted the Russia investigation kept secret but the Wiener emails publicly announced. Brilliant strategy.

It's George P.
I've personally always suspected Carter Page to be a foreign spy, no one could actually be that stupid. But yeah it's George P.

I've been saying this for months. I said either the FBI, Hillary/Fusion, or the Russians had people planted on the inside. Perhaps all three, but for their own reasons.
Carter Page, in particular, always seemed to me to be a plant. The fact Page ran around boasting about going to Russia (not even trying to hide it), then later asks Congress for a classified hearing says it all. Dude is either FBI or was working for Fusion/Hillary. And now with the revelation that the FBI sought to entrap Trump with "muh Russia" (insurance policy and "I can save the country on many levels" and "we cannot let Trump win"), it all is becoming clear. We know for a FACT now that the FBI was involved in setting Trump up for "muh Russia." This is not in dispute. The only question now is how much role did Hillary/Fusion have in their decision to go after him? Were the FBI acting in good faith and were merely fooled by fake Fusion research or were they acting maliciously from the start? I suspect the latter, but it's possible these idiots really believed Hillary campaign nonsense.
You have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool ole AUstar. I'm glad Congress, the DoJ and the press is finally catching up with me.
I am a very unstable genius.

my money would be on George Papadopolous.

That's more than a wire tap.

Why would the FBI convict him for lying to them about an interview in 2017 if he was a cooperating informant in 2016?

The head of the research firm behind a dossier of allegations against then-presidential candidate Donald Trump told congressional investigators that someone inside Trump’s network had also provided the FBI with information during the 2016 campaign, according to a newly released transcript, a claim quickly disputed by people close to the investigation into Russian interference in the election.
Reports clarified the statement as borderline perjury.

But a source close to Fusion GPS told The Hill on Tuesday that Simpson misspoke, mischaracterizing a tip that an Australian diplomat gave the bureau related to Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos.

If they had an informant and this shits been going on for almost 2 years now then it's pretty obvious they have nothing. If it weren't already obvious a year ago.
If they had something, they would have done everything possible to keep Trump from getting sworn into office...

How would the FBI convict him?
And maybe they had something on him and he stopped cooperating?

So we now know based on sources close to FGPS that there wasn't an informant. But even if there was one, wouldn't it actually be more disturbing that fricking FGPS found out about it? That's absolutely chilling if you are a CI working with the FBI.

Keep in mind the FBI (or Congress) is denying they had an informant. They flat out said Simpson is lying.
It's hard to know who to believe here, but I suspect Simpson is right. The FBI has a much bigger reason to lie about this than Simpson. The government doesn't want America to know they were spying on a presidential candidate. They will lie to the end about that (but it's gonna come out).
Carter Page and George P. are both candidates here. Carter Page, as I said before, is my guess. Look at his background. Well, I'll just post Wikipedia's page:
LOL, you couldn't ask for a better CIA (or FBI) candidate than this guy. I mean, his resume is a CIA HR person's dream. Annapolis graduate, top 10% of his class, prior intelligence work, House Armed Services Committee staffer, etc.
Now suddenly he becomes a "business man" in the oil industry in Russia? Yeah, not buying it and I know the Russians aren't dumb enough to buy it either. God, I hope our CIA is better than this. I mean, really? You thought this guy could do undercover work without being exposed?

The fbi can’t convict anybody. He signed a guilty plea- and guess what his punishment was? Nothing. He “cooperated” with Mueller “in return.”
Sounds to me like a good way to “disguise” an informant.
Flynn plead to the same charge- I guarantee you he won’t be treated in the same manner. Hell, they’ve already succeeded in just about bankrupting him.

I agree with you- it’s either page or pap. But there’s ZERO doubt in my mind at this point, that the previous admin would place an informant inside the campaign.
It was probably step 1 of the “insurance policy”

Yep but the NYT and WaPo have completely ignored that story, for obvious reasons. They just cannot fathom that the "trustworthy" FBI was on a witch hunt. No, Trump is an agent of Putin.
