I’m sticking with my “if it is Ensminger” disclaimer until LSU announces that it is. There’s a ton of smoke and history of incompetence, but hopefully they’re actually doing what’s best.

Honestly I can’t see a downside to LSU issuing a presser that it will not be Ensminger even if they don’t know who it is yet.

I don't know if this has ever been done

Most people (maybe not here on TD) are willing to wait a little bit for a hiring announcement.
The offseason has only been here for 7 days... 7!
We've already staved off A&M and locked up Aranda for four years and bought out Canada. This is a very important hire and if they are using this time to interview/vet candidates then I'm all for it.
Because of how the OL coach was announced (right after Grimes left), that makes me think they are waiting for somebody to finish their season. Or at least I hope.

Unless of course he's the fallback plan. Then they've shot themselves in the foot, which I'm sure they're tired of doing by now.

It's probably better that only E's name is floating around. Let the melters do what they do best while the important shite stays quiet.

Names slipping out during the Miles mess could have played a part in O becoming our HC.
