So, assuming Canada stays............here's what I find problematic

It is pretty clear at this point that if Canada stays, it won't exactly be a marriage made in heaven with him and O.
And, it's been VERY clear that there have been times when this issue has affected how Canada runs his offense.
Now, I don't really care what one thinks about ANY offensive coordinator but one thing you can say about all successful ones is this. Their offensive ideas are a cohesive whole, not a fricking ala carte ordering system.
You take 10% of an OC's offense away from him, he will not be as good as HE can be. Whatever that is.
So, with Canada, you need to just let him roll or fire the fricker already.
That ND game was ridiculous. I've watched a LOT of Matt Canada and I can tell you this. That dude has NEVER given up on the jet sweep after ONE failed attempt. Not even this year. You may hate the jet sweep, but it's part of his total package.
O needs to fricking get out of the way if he's going to keep him. Otherwise, frankly, you might as well have E.(no, I don't want that)

ya think?
There is too much water under the bridge, IMO. I don't think it could possibly work.

Canada isn't staying. He is gone. So no point in talking about it

ND took the Jet Sweep away. It wasn't O interfering. It was ND's defensive alignment. Even the guys announcing the game mentioned this. You are seeing shadows that aren't there, bud.

Here's what I said in a previous post of how it could work:
If O and Canada can just set up boundaries and agree to play nice they could coordinate Canada finding a place to coach in 2019 and LSU starting the process to find an elite guy at the same time. Both would be acting in the best interest of everyone involved. Canada would have the added incentive of being "in a contract year" to perform.
If there is a total meltdown in the middle of the year, we still have Ensminger to be interim OC. O would have the incentive to make sure that meltdown doesn't happen.
If I were Alleva, that is the conversation I'd be having with those guys right now if I'm staring at simply promoting Ensminger.

I agree about the cohesive whole part but no one on this board knows for sure if O is still meddling

Well. Yeah. But, you can't run a team like that. So, it's concerning. One of them is gonna have to cave and it's NOT a good thing if it's Canada that caves.

How many did he run vs Tenn? When you find the answer, come back and we'll talk.

Our red zone offense was awful this year.
I've never seen an offense that has more difficulty scoring the closer they get to the goal line. As in, almost impossible to score from a half yard out.
This has to improve, with or without Canada.

LOL. Yeah. ND is the only team this year that aligned in such a manner as to try and take away the jet sweep.

Not anymore...there are 3 types of LSU fans right now: football knowledgeable who want what's best for LSU; football knowledgeable who want the best for Ed Orgeron then LSU; those who want what's best for Ed Orgeron....exactly what Joe Alleva wants. Divide & conquer.

No one has to "cave". They need to do what I said above. It can work. It's the professional resolution to the problem. It makes no sense to simply promote Ensminger. He's on staff and become interim OC at a moment's notice.

Setting boundaries is for young people. These old bulls wouldn't know what you are talking about.

One.
See. I can be honest. You guys need to stop looking at this board as some giant dick measuring contest.

All the LSU sites and reporters are saying he is already gone.

Setting boundaries and working for the good of LSU and everyone involved is how professionals (a.k.a. coaches making over $1M/yr) resolve issues.
If they can't resolve those issues, Alleva could always fire both of them for cause and promote Aranda. No expensive buyouts at that point.

Then how do you qualify your original statement?

There's major doubt that O is capable of this.
