No. It's bullshite. No one really knows who or started the universe. I believe G-d created it but that's my faith

Lulz if you think science has any proof of how the universe was created. Their proof is from guessing and suppositions. They have no clue.

I feel like our universe is part of something that is much bigger.

This doesn't exclude "scientists". People see what they want to see and make their "evidence" fit that pov

Stay out of this. Intelligent people are talking.
We'll discuss the merits of your magic man when we're done.
It's funny to me that you believe that there was an infinitely existing, infinitely dense state of matter that exploded into the existence of the universe and in that infinite explosion the earth was formed as were microbes that become bigger organisms that evolved to humans which then invented science and began backtracking the beginnings of their existence.
And that all of this happened by complete meaningless chance.
And you believe that these random human organisms on this tiny little planet have the capability and capacity to understand billions of years of universe expansion and all of the mysteries of time and space and the universe.
And you believe that the entirety of life is one giant meaningless coincidence taking place on a random sphere hurling through space.
You have absolutely no problem believing and promoting that.
But the possibility of a being who exists outside of the dimensions of time and space that we occupy and know them is so bizarre and foreign to you that you'd immediately mock and ridicule anyone who believes it.
The Christian God and all of the entire history of science can coexist. Isn't it possible some outer dimensional being that we cannot in any way comprehend started the motion of our universe?

No the big pickup line was the origin of the universe.

I like meher baba's version.
Totally non scientific fable.
Re big bang, Vedas go with all of existence ending in a cycle of poof, bang repeat.

You forgot to mention that it was infinitely hot. How can something that is infinitely dense be infinitely hot? Stuff must be moving to be hot, but it can't move if it is infinitely dense.
Legit question. Would love to see this answered instead of just downvoted.

There isn’t going to be a Big Crunch/Bounce though because our universe is not only expanding outwards, it’s accelerating.
Just based on observation which has only been possible for a couple hundred years. That time frame isnt a good sample to conclude much when you're talking about billions of years

I accept that the dense singularity, and everything we see before us came from something and somebody, the likes of which the tiny little creatures on this little blue marble in the middle of absolutely nowhere in a vast universe simply cannot comprehend.

These threads must always turn into a pissing match between theists and atheists. That is one of the fundamental laws of the universe.

I know the education system in Florida is poor, but go back and read my post. I didn't say anything about science having proof.
